Selection Process
The selection will be made through a Competitive Examination in three stages:
(A) Stage – I: Preliminary (Screening) Examination [Objective Type (MCQ)]
- Paper-I:
- Part-1: General Studies – 100 Marks
- Part-2: Engineering Aptitude – 100 Marks
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Paper-II: Civil Engineering – 300 Marks
- Duration: 3 HoursTotal: 500 Marks
Note:
- This is only a screening test.
- Marks obtained in Preliminary will NOT be counted for final merit.
- Approximately 15 times the number of vacancies will be called for the Main Examination.
(B) Stage – II: Main Written Examination [Descriptive (Conventional) Type]
- Paper-I: Gujarati Language – 100 Marks (2 Hours)
- Paper-II: English Language – 100 Marks (2 Hours)
- Paper-III: Civil Engineering – I – 200 Marks (3 Hours)
- Paper-IV: Civil Engineering – II – 200 Marks (3 Hours)
- Paper-V: Civil Engineering – III – 200 Marks (3 Hours) Total: 800 Marks
(C) Stage – III: Interview (Personality Test) – 100 Marks
Final Merit: Marks obtained in Main Written Examination (800) + Interview (100) = 900 Marks (The Preliminary marks are not added.)
How to Apply
- Applications must be submitted online only through the official OJAS portal.

- Online Application Period:
- Starts: 01-04-2026 (13:00 hours)
- Ends: 15-04-2026 (23:59 hours)
Mandatory Step (for Preliminary Exam): Candidates must submit Consent and Consent Deposit from 01-04-2026 (13:00 hours) to 16-04-2026 (10:00 hours).
Steps to Apply:
- Visit https://gpsc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in and click on “Apply Online”.
- Register (if new user) or Login.
- Fill all personal, educational and other details carefully.
- Upload required documents (wherever asked).
- Pay the application fee (if applicable) online.
- Submit the form and take a printout for your reference.
Important:
- The online application is editable till the last date & time.
- Only one application per advertisement is allowed.
- In case of multiple applications, only the latest confirmed application will be considered valid.
General Instructions for Candidates
- Read the full advertisement carefully before filling the online form.
- Category once filled cannot be changed later.
- Age is calculated as on 15-04-2026.
- Only Gujarat origin candidates are eligible for reservation benefits.
- PwD candidates must upload a valid Disability Certificate (Form V/VI/VII) issued as per Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017.
- Ex-Servicemen must upload proper discharge certificate.
- No request for correction of details will be accepted after the advertisement closes.
- All updates (exam date, hall ticket, result, merit list) will be published only on the official website https://gpsc.gujarat.gov.in and https://gpsc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in. Candidates must check the website regularly.
- No individual communication / letters will be sent to candidates.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
- The Commission reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies or cancel the advertisement at any stage.
- In case of any dispute, the decision of the Gujarat Public Service Commission shall be final.
