Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Geology; OR
- M.Sc. in Applied Geology; OR
- M.Sc. Tech in Applied Geology.
- Experience:
- 7 years of working experience.
- Desired working experience in Base metal exploration, GIS and 3D modelling software.
- Age & Cut-off Date:
- Maximum Age Limit: 35 years.
- Date of reckoning for calculation of age, year of experience etc.: 01.01.2026.
- Role-specific Technical Requirements (as per Terms of Reference):
- Ability to conduct exploration field work including geological, geochemical and geophysical study around Pan India.
- Competence in operating GIS and 3D modelling software for data interpretation and report writing.
- Capability to review and perform technical due diligence of geology, geophysics and related technical study reports.
Salary/Stipend
- Remuneration per mensem: ₹65,000.00 (Fixed).
- No other allowance or benefit is admissible with the fixed monthly remuneration.
- TA/DA for domestic official tours (with due approval) for Young Professional:
- Mode of journey: AC Two-Tier by Rail.
- Hotel accommodation up to Rs. 2,250/- per day.
- Taxi charges at actuals for travel and food bills not exceeding Rs. 900/- per day.

- HCL reserves the right to terminate the Consultancy Contract at any time without prior notice in case of serious failure in performance or non-observance of prescribed standards of conduct.
General Information/Instructions
- Hindustan Copper Limited is a vertically integrated, multi-unit, Schedule-A Miniratna Category–I Central Public Sector Enterprise.
- Young Professionals will be engaged as Individual Consultants for a tenure of 24 months (extendable or shortened based on requirement).
- Leave entitlement: 1 day of leave for each completed month on a pro-rata basis, with no accumulation beyond a calendar year. Un-availed leaves cannot be carried forward; leave up to one month without remuneration may be considered with approval of CMD, HCL.
- Insurance: Individual Consultants are responsible for arranging and maintaining their own life, health and other insurance to cover the engagement period.
- Legal status: Individual Consultants have the status of independent consultants and are not employees of HCL. The engagement is temporary and can be cancelled at any time without providing reasons.
- Standards of conduct: Consultants shall not seek or accept instructions from any external authority, must act in the interest of HCL, and comply with all applicable laws and rules.
- Confidentiality: Consultants are subject to the Indian Officials Secrets Act, 1923, and are prohibited from publishing or sharing any material related to their assignment without prior sanction from HCL.
- Exclusive engagement: Consultants engaged on full-time basis are not permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of consultancy with HCL, and must declare that no conflict of interest exists.
