Eligibility Criteria for IIT BHU PhD 2026
Eligibility varies by department and category. General requirements include:

Master’s Degree (M.Tech/M.E./M.Pharm/M.S.): Minimum CGPA/CPI >7.0 (on 10.0 scale) or equivalent.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (or 70%/7.0 CPI with 2+ years experience from central govt. funded institutions).

Master’s in Science: Minimum 65% or 6.5 CPI at Master’s + 60% or 6.0 CPI at Bachelor’s level.

5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Valid GATE/GPAT/NET qualification is generally required for Full-Time Regular category with Institute Assistantship.
