Hospitality Monitors Remuneration and Allowances
- CTC: Rs. 30,000/- per month (incl. statutory deductions) and other allowances as applicable
- Daily Allowance: Rs. 350/- per day for on-duty on-board in train(s) - 100% for more than 12 hours, 70% for 6 to 12 hours, and 30% for less than 6 hours
- Lodging Charges: Rs. 240/- only if night stay is involved at an outstation
- National Holiday Allowance (NHA): Rs. 384/- per National Holiday (if worked)
- Medical Insurance: Rs. 1,400/- per month (up to 35 years), Rs. 2,000/- per month (36–50 years); reimbursement subject to submission of valid documents

IRCTC SCZ Scope of Work 2026
Hospitality Monitors – Scope of Work
- Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of food production, quality & services in nominated mobile catering units (Vande Bharat Trains/Mail/Express trains/TSVs)/Tourist Trains/Bharat Gaurav Trains, etc.
- Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of food production and quality in nominated static catering units/Base Kitchens/Cluster Kitchens, as well as kitchens supplying meals to Vande Bharat Trains.
- Ensuring the working of equipment and proper pest control, and ensuring proper cleaning of the mini pantry and pantry by service provider staff before completion of each round trip.
- The nature of duty will also require movement in trains (all over India).
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and standard hospitality procedures/practices.
- Ensuring proper manpower & materials for nominated mobile/static catering units.
- Resolving customer/passenger care related issues and effective complaint management.
- Collecting feedback, its analysis, and course correction.
- Ensuring statutory compliance/regulations as applicable.
- Supervising & educating staff in efficient upkeep of equipment and devices.
- Coordinating with various departments, offices, and business partners.
The list is only tentative, and candidates will be assigned duties from time to time as per extant guidelines.
Tourism Monitors – Scope of Work
- Manning the 'Bharat Gaurav Rakes' and supporting all other Tourism related activities.
- Marketing and back-end support of various tour packages, handling air/rail ticketing of corporate travel and walk-in clients.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and standard procedures/practices.
- Resolving customer/passenger care related issues and effective complaint management.
- Collecting feedback, its analysis, and course correction.
- Ensuring statutory compliance/regulations as applicable.
- Supervising, training & educating staff in efficient services.
- Coordinating with various departments, Railways, other offices, and business partners.
IRCTC SCZ Selection Process 2026
Selection for both Hospitality Monitors and Tourism Monitors is through Walk-in Interview, following the same broad process:
- Candidates must fill in the application form (attached with the respective notification), completing it in all respects.
- The completed application form must be submitted at the venue of the interview for verification, along with original documents, one set of attested copies of requisite documents, and two recent passport-size photographs.
- An interview will be conducted, and candidates will be shortlisted based on their credentials and performance in the personal interview.
- The offer of engagement will be issued to suitable candidates in order of merit and based on the number of vacancies, subject to verification of antecedents.
- In addition to the shortlisted candidates (22 for Hospitality Monitors, including 4 OBC backlog vacancies; 6 for Tourism Monitors), an equal number of candidates will be placed on a Reserve Panel.
Medical Fitness: Engagement is subject to candidates being found fit in the medical test prescribed for the post. For Hospitality Monitors, candidates will have to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, and continuation in service will also be subject to remaining medically fit. For Tourism Monitors, engagement of selected candidates is subject to being medically fit as prescribed by IRCTC.

IRCTC SCZ Apply process is through walk-in interview; there is no online application portal for these posts.
- Download and fill the Proforma/Application Form attached with the relevant notification (Hospitality Monitors or Tourism Monitors) on www.irctc.com.
- Complete all fields: personal details, category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/EWS/Ex.SM), present and permanent address, contact details, date of birth and age (as on 01.09.2026), gender, marital status, Aadhaar number, educational qualification details (10th, 12th, Graduation, Post Graduation), post-qualification experience, and languages known.
- Attach self-attested copies of proof of educational qualification (certificates and marksheets), proof of experience (if any), proof of date of birth (10th certificate), and proof of category (OBC-NCL candidates must submit the certificate in the format prescribed by the Government of India).
- Affix a recent photograph and sign the declaration confirming that the information provided is true and correct.
- Carry the completed application form, along with original documents, one set of attested copies, and two recent passport-size photographs, to the applicable walk-in interview venue on the scheduled date and time.
- Tourism Monitors candidates should note that they can appear for interview at only one of the two convenient venues.
IRCTC SCZ Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions
- This engagement is purely on a fixed-term/contractual basis and will not entitle any candidate to claim regular/permanent employment in IRCTC.
- The engagement will remain provisional till satisfactory verification of antecedents by the appropriate authorities. If any information furnished is found false or incorrect, or if material information is wilfully suppressed, the contract is liable to be terminated without notice or compensation.
- The contract may be terminated by giving one month's notice by either side. For Hospitality Monitors, if performance during the contract period is not found satisfactory, the contract may be terminated by providing 15 days' notice; for Tourism Monitors, an unsatisfactory-performance contract may be terminated without any notice.
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates working in Government/PSUs may apply through proper channel, or submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview, or submit a proper relieving letter from their present employer in the event of selection in IRCTC.
- IRCTC reserves the right to cancel/amend the advertisement and/or the selection process at any time without prior notice.
- The number of vacancies to be filled (including the Reserve Panel) may increase or decrease depending on IRCTC's requirement at the time of engagement (and, for Hospitality Monitors, as per CO guidelines issued from time to time).
- Candidates must ensure they fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed for the post applied for. If it is found at any stage of selection, or even after engagement, that a candidate has furnished false or incorrect information or does not fulfil the criteria, their candidature/services will be summarily terminated.
- Selected candidates must furnish a security deposit of Rs. 25,000/- in the form of a Demand Draft. For Hospitality Monitors, contractual staff must complete a minimum service period of one year, failing which the security deposit amount is liable to be forfeited.
- No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the walk-in interview.
- Knowledge of computer (MS Office) and preparation of reports is desirable, along with the ability to solve problems and make rational decisions.
