Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: As per UGC norms.

Salary / Stipend

• Consolidated pay of ₹40,000 /- per month for UGC qualified candidates.
• In the absence of UGC qualified hands, non UGC candidates will be considered with a consolidated pay of ₹33,000 /- per month.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• As per the UGC Regulations regarding the appointment of Assistant Professors, teachers who retired from Colleges/ Universities will also be considered subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall be 70 years as on 01.01.2026.

General Information / Instructions

• The engagement is for the current academic year (till 15, April 2026).
• Reservation rotation is specified in serial order against the vacancies.
• Candidates under the community reservation quota shall submit community certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the authorities concerned and those who belong to PH / EWS reservation should enclose the certificate concerned (as per the State Govt.Criteria) along with the application. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate need not be furnished by applicants belonging to SC and ST communities.
• Natives of states other than Kerala need not apply for the post notified exclusively under the community reservation quota.
• Degree obtained from Universities/Institutions outside the state of Kerala shall be accompanied by equivalency/eligibility certificate obtained from this university.
• The selected candidates shall execute an agreement with the university as per the existing norms.

How to Apply

• Interested candidates shall send the duly filled proforma attached with this notification and scanned copies of the original documents to prove their age, community reservation, qualifications (Mark list and Degree Certificates)Specialisation, proof that the journals are approved by UGC/ peer reviewed, impact factor of the published articles, experience certificate, awards, proof for CGPA to percentage conversion and proof of all other additional qualifications ,etc to "[email protected]" with the subject labelled as "Application for the post of Assistant Professor on Contract(History) at IMPSS" within 15 days from the date of this notification.
• The applications without the scanned copies of certificates to prove age, community, creamy layer status, educational qualification, experience, CGPA to percentage conversion, impact factor of the published articles, equivalency / eligibility will be summarily rejected.
