Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: Master's Degree in Computer Application/Data Science/Data Analytics or MBA in Data Management or BE/B.Tech.
- Desirable: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/Data Science/Data Analytics with working experience handling of online software based platform related to Data Management will be given preference.
- Other Attributes: Candidates should have good knowledge of working on computer including Power Point, Word and excel and should also possess good inter-personal and strong communication skills.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-essential qualification experience of working in PSU/Government/ Research Organization/ Industry.
Salary/ Stipend
- Initial Remuneration: Rs. 1,00,000/- per month (Consultant Grade-I).
- Yearly enhancement based on performance: Nil (for routine work); Up to 5% with approval of Additional Secretary/Joint Secretary; Up to 10% in exceptional cases with approval of Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries.
- Total enhancement shall not exceed 10% in any case.
- For retired Government servants: Fixed monthly amount by deducting basic pension from pay at retirement (no annual increment/percentage increase).
- TA/DA for official travel: Air in Economy class or Rail in AC Two Tier; Hotel up to Rs. 2250/- per day, taxi up to Rs. 338/- per day, food up to Rs. 900/- per day (as per MHI admin guidelines dated 27.08.2024).
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
- Consultant Grade-I: Below 45 years.
- For retired Government servants: Age ceiling relaxed as per DoE's OM dated 09.12.2020.

- Period of engagement: Initially for two years, extendable one year at a time (max 5 years total; no extension beyond age 65 years) as per Admin, MHI guidelines dated 27.08.2024.
- Place of posting: New Delhi.
- Medical: Submit statement of Good Health from recognized physician before appointment; no medical benefits from Ministry during tenure.
