Eligibility Criteria 

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

• B.E / B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation, Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Industrial, Instrumentation and Control, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, or other closely relevant degree specialization
• OR / AND
• M.E / M.Tech in Medical Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation, Industrial Automation and Robotics, Robotics, Automobile, Automotive, Manufacturing, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, CAD/Product Design and Development, Power Electronics and Drives, Control System Engineering, Electrical Drives and Embedded Controls, Computer Science, Embedded System Technologies, Information Technology, Applied Electronics, or other closely relevant degree specialization

Note: If the interview committee finds no suitable candidate in the advertised specialization, they may have the discretion to consider candidates with closely related specializations if applied.

Desirable Qualifications

• PG Degree (M.E / M.Tech) in the above specialization will be highly desirable
• Candidates with skills in CAD Modelling, Simulation, CAM, control systems, embedded hardware, sensors (EEG/EMG/IMU), and programming (MATLAB/Python/ROS)
• Experience in assistive/rehabilitation technology, neuro-signal processing, and AI/ML/Deep Learning integration
• Problem-solving ability, interdisciplinary teamwork, and empathy towards patient-centric applications
• Strong commitment and motivation to pursue research in the subject area with good communication skills

Salary / Stipend 

• Salary: Rs. 25,000/- Per Month (Consolidated)
• Duration: 25 Months (Initial appointment for 6 months, extendable based on performance)
• Work Location: Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) Campus, Anna University, Chromepet, Chennai

Selection Process 

• Short-listed candidates will be called for written test and/or interview
• The date and time of interview will be informed later to the candidates by email only
