MPSC Junior Grade of Mizoram Legal Service (Legal Officer) Recruitment 2026 Overview

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor degree in law from a recognised University.
  • From members of the Bar actively practising as Advocate in Courts of Civil and Criminal jurisdiction for a period not less than three (3) years on the last date fixed for receipt of the application.
• Computer Proficiency: As prescribed by the Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023 notified vide No. A.12018/31/2020-P&AR(GSW) dated 10.03.2023.
• Mizo Language Proficiency: A candidate must achieve a minimum score in the qualifying test of Mizo Language Proficiency as prescribed by the Government from time to time. However, a candidate who studied Mizo subject in Class-X standard(HSLC) or above within Mizoram or who opted for Mizo subject as MIL outside Mizoram is exempted from taking the qualifying test paper.

Salary/ Stipend

• Pay Level – 10 in the Pay Matrix (Rs.56,100 – Rs.1,24,500)

Age Limit (as on 06 February 2026)

• Between 21 years and 35 years.
• The crucial date for determining the age limit of candidates shall be the closing date of receipt of applications from candidates.

• Persons with disabilities are exempted from payment of application fees.
• Fees once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.
• If payment is to be done through UPI, it may be done using only the mobile number used for one time registration.
