- Psychiatrist Member:
- Post-Graduate Degree or Diploma in Psychiatry by a university recognized by the UGC or by National Board of Examinations (NBE) or by Medical Council of India.
- At least 15 years' experience in the field.
- Medical Practitioner Member:
- Recognized medical qualification as defined in clause (h) of section 2 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and name entered in the State Medical Register.
- Recognized medical qualification as defined in clause (h) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970, and name entered in a State Register of Indian Medicine.
- Recognized medical qualification as defined in clause (g) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973, and name entered in a State Register of Homoeopathy.
- At least 15 years' Experience in the field.
- Member:
- Person who resides with a person with mental illness and is responsible for providing care to that person (includes relative or any other person).
- Person representing organization of persons with mental illness or care-givers.
- Representatives of registered Non-Governmental Organization.
- 10 years' experience in the field of Mental Health.
