Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications (Essential): Bachelor's degree – Medicine/Dental/Nursing/AYUSH / Pharmacy/ Healthcare & Hospital Management (Regular) with Post-graduation or PhD in public health, community health, preventive & social medicine (MPH, MD Community Medicine), MBA/MHA healthcare management/public health management in regular mode from a recognized University in India.
- Experience (Essential): At least two years of post-PG work experience for MPH/ MBA healthcare and One year for MD Community Medicine, preferably in National Health Mission/ National Health Programmes/ health planning/ Health policy and advocacy/ Public Health System Strengthening or Health Care Management.
- Qualifications (Desirable): Candidates working for similar programs or activities at the central (or) state level shall be preferred.
- Working experience at District or below in Secondary/Primary health care level services.
- Research experience/ Published work in health systems or public health will be an added advantage.
Age Limit (as on 29-12-2025)
- Maximum Age Limit: 45 years & below (as on the last date of application).
Salary/Stipend
- Remuneration Range: Between Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 1,20,000/- per month.
- Other Benefits: In addition to the remuneration mentioned above, Consultants of NHSRC are entitled to Free Accidental insurance, Subsidized Medical insurance, Mobile bills reimbursement, Laptop reimbursement (As per NHSRC Policy), 30 days Consolidated leave, fully paid Maternity leave (For Female Consultants) as per Government of India policy, performance linked increments, TA/ DA and per diem for on-duty visits.
Selection Process
Candidates selected for the interview could be considered for other vacant positions at NHSRC requiring similar skill sets. The process involves shortlisting based on applications.
General Information/Instructions
- The position is purely on a contractual basis.
- The contract duration is till 31st March 2027 with further extensions of similar duration (subject to satisfactory performance) and availability of NHM funds.
- Location: New Delhi with willingness to travel on a need basis.
- The consultant should be able to accomplish the assignments within time.
