Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a reputed University/Institute recognized by the Bar Council of India, OR
- Postgraduate Degree in Law (LLM) from a reputed University/Institute recognized by the Bar Council of India
- Minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 (on a 10-point scale) in the qualifying examination
- Must be registered as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India under the Advocates Act, 1961
Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience after completing Bachelor's Degree in Law, OR
- Minimum 2 years of experience after completing Master's Degree in Law
- The experience must include:
- • Handling civil and criminal litigation
- • Arbitration matters
- • Right to Information (RTI) applications and service-related matters
- • Drafting and interpreting legal documents
- • Appearing before courts and tribunals
- Applicants are required to submit proof of experience through experience certificates
- Preference: Candidates with at least 2 years experience in legal matters related to academic institutions and/or experience in service matters/Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) filings will be preferred
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: Less than 40 years as on the last date of application (17-02-2026)

Salary & Remuneration
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist and report to the Assistant Registrar (Legal)
- Prepare, maintain, and monitor pending court cases
- Assist in discussions with Advocates and Legal Counsel for finalizing agreements
- Prepare and review Public Works Contracts (PWC), Writ Petitions, Appeals, Rejoinders, Show-Cause Replies, and Affidavits
- Draft, interpret, and vet legal documents including Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and other contracts
- Liaise with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) attorneys
- Handle Intellectual Property Rights filings including patents and copyrights
- Visit Tribunals, High Courts, and other courts as required to advise the Institute on legal matters
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Institute Authority
