Eligibility Criteria

• Eligible candidates must have the requisite Trade Certificate as mentioned against the respective category.
• COPA: (COPA) Trade Certificate, 1 year regular course.
• Welder: Welder – Trade Certificate, 1 year regular course.
• Mechanical (Fitter): Fitter - Trade Certificate, 2 year regular course.
• Electrical (Electrician): Electrician Trade Certificate, 2 year regular course.
• Candidates who have already completed Apprenticeship Training under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 are not eligible for apprenticeship and need not attend walk-in drive.

Salary/Stipend

• Candidates will be selected based on the screen test and selected candidates will be paid stipend as per DGT Guidelines.

Selection Process

• Candidates will be selected based on the screen test / Trade test as required.
• Selection will be subject to satisfactory verification of the documents.
• The selection of SC/ST/OBC will be as per Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and as per the quota fixed by the Government.
• The scheme shall not guarantee any employment on completion of apprenticeship training.

General Information/Instructions

• NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) is a Government company under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. The shares of the company are listed on BSE, NSE and Calcutta stock exchange. The company owns and operates the state of art 3.0 MTPA Steel Plant at Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh.
• The walk-in drive will be conducted on the dates, time and venue as mentioned against each trade.
• The candidates applying for trade apprenticeship at NMDC Steel Limited need to register himself/herself at the apprenticeship portal.
• The candidates appearing for the Walk-In-Drive shall not be paid or reimbursed any TA/DA.
• No accommodation facilities will be provided by NSL for the candidates attending the walk-in drive. The candidates should come prepared for the stay for more than one day if required at his cost.
• The list of candidates provisionally selected shall be published on the NSL website only; no further mode of communication will be sent.
• The selected candidate will go under the medical test before joining and must be medically fit.
• At the time of walk-in drive, candidate should bring their resume (as per format enclosed) affixed with a recent passport size photograph on the right corner along with proof of date of birth, address proof, caste certificate, and education qualification (ITI). The resume along with self-attested photocopies of all certificates is to be submitted at the time of walk-in drive.
• Candidate must reach the venue at 09:00 AM to register himself/herself for appearing in the walk-in-drive on the same day.
• Candidature of the apprentice is liable to be rejected at any stage of apprenticeship engagement process or after joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found false or not meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
• NMDC Steel Limited reserves all the rights to withdraw/cancel the advertisement/screen test if circumstances so warrant without assigning any reason thereof.
• The number of vacancies mentioned in the table is only indicative and may change at a later stage depending on the final assessment of the eligible candidates.
• The caste certificate of SC/ST is valid only, if issued by concerned State Government authority.
• Caste Certificate for OBC Category is valid only, if issued by concerned State Government authority within 06 (Six) months as on the date of notification in the Performa as notified by Government of India.
