Eligibility Criteria
Contractual Electrician
- Passed 10th from a Government recognized Board/University.
- Passed ITI Electrician (2 years) from a Government recognized Board/University.
- Must possess Electrical Permit for Workmen Part I & II.
- Minimum 1-year post-qualification work experience.
- Minimum age 18 years and upper age limit 35 years as on date of registration for walk-in for personal assessment.
Contractual Associate Engineer (Electrical)
- Passed 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a Government recognized Board/University.
- Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency (Part I, II, III & IV).
- Minimum 1-year post-qualification work experience.
- Desirable: Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency Part VIII.
- Minimum age 18 years and upper age limit 35 years as on date of registration for walk-in for personal assessment.
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Domicile of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh only, for engagement at Field Headquarters, Duliajan.
- Willingness to work in shifts involving arduous and hazardous nature of jobs in remote/far-flung installations and on “On-Call” duty basis.
- Reservation for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India guidelines.
- 10th Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet will be treated as valid proof of date of birth.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years (for all contractual posts) as on the date of registration for walk-in.
- Maximum Age: 35 years (for all contractual posts) as on the date of registration for walk-in.
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on Walk-in for Personal Assessment(s) of total 100 marks.
- Qualifying/pass marks are 50 for all categories.
- Assessment parameters include professional knowledge and skills in the concerned discipline, professional knowledge and skills in allied discipline, personal attributes and soft skills.
- Final selection will be made purely on merit based on marks obtained in the Walk-in for Personal Assessment(s) by candidates securing qualifying marks of 50 or above.

Salary/Stipend
Contractual Electrician
- Fixed Emolument: ₹21,450.00 per month based on attendance including paid leave and holiday, if any.
- Variable Emolument: ₹825.00 per working day.
Contractual Associate Engineer (Electrical)
- Fixed Emolument: ₹24,960.00 per month based on attendance including paid leave and holiday, if any.
- Variable Emolument: ₹960.00 per working day.
The engagement is purely contractual for a period of 6 months or completion of OCS Nadua & East Khagorijan Project, whichever is earlier.
Instructions
- The contract is purely temporary and can be terminated by either side by giving 15 days’ notice.
- Selected candidates will be required to join immediately; limited extension up to 15 days may be allowed at management’s discretion.
- Candidates must bring all required original documents and one set of self-attested copies on the day of registration and walk-in.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the Walk-in for Personal Assessment(s); candidates must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Engagement will not confer any right for future employment or regularization in Oil India Limited.
- Candidates must be of sound health and produce a fitness certificate from a Government Registered Medical Practitioner at the time of joining.
- Provisionally selected candidates must submit a police verification certificate/report and other pre-engagement formalities as prescribed.
- Selected candidates will be liable to be placed at any location as decided by the competent authority and must arrange their own accommodation.
- Selected candidates will be entitled to 10 days paid leave during the 6 months contractual period; all applicable taxes will be borne by the candidates.
- Oil India Limited reserves the right to cancel or postpone the contractual engagement process at any stage without assigning reasons.
