OPSC Assistant Professor Interview Schedule 2026 - Check Dates & Venue at opsc.gov.in

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released the interview schedule for the post of Assistant Professor (Stage-I) in Education, College Branch, under Advertisement No. 27 of 2023-24. As per Notice No. 5125/PSC dated 07.09.2026, a total of 151 candidates have been shortlisted for interview. The interviews will be held at the OPSC office in Cuttack from 21.09.2026 to 24.09.2026.

Important Dates

Interview Marks Distribution

As per OPSC Notice No. 1306/PSC dated 02.03.2026, the interview for Assistant Professor (Stage-I), College Branch, carries 100 marks in total, divided into three components.

Qualifying Marks for Interview

Since the final merit list is prepared solely on the basis of interview marks, candidates must secure the following minimum qualifying marks out of 100 to be considered for selection.

A candidate is considered suitable for selection only if he/she secures the applicable qualifying marks. Even if posts remain vacant, a candidate who fails to secure the qualifying marks cannot claim selection.

Interview Procedure & Pedagogy Skill Test

• The candidature of all shortlisted candidates for recruitment is purely provisional and liable to rejection at any stage if inadequacy or deficiency is found.
• Candidates must report to the Commission's office two hours before the scheduled interview time.
• Pedagogy Skill is part of the interview. Candidates must come prepared to present a topic of their choice within 8 to 10 minutes before the Interview Board. A white board will be provided by the Commission for this purpose.
• To test Pedagogical Skill, candidates may also be asked to take a demo class of maximum 7 to 8 minutes on the white board, on a topic chosen by them or assigned by the Board.
• Allotment of the Interview Board will be done through a draw of lots in the presence of all candidates, for transparency.
• The draw of lots for the 1st sitting will be held in the Reception Hall from 9.00 AM to 9.30 AM, and for the 2nd sitting from 1.00 PM to 1.30 PM.
• Candidates who do not report before the closure of the draw of lots will be allotted a Board through a draw of lots conducted by any candidate present.
• The interview process is identity-less. Candidates will appear before the Board with a system-generated Code Number; no personal particulars such as name or roll number will be disclosed to the Board.

• Mere participation in the interview does not reserve any right for selection.
• Candidature is subject to fulfilment of the terms and conditions laid down in the Advertisement.
• Candidates must submit documents as per OPSC Notice No. 1306/PSC dated 02.03.2026, available on the official OPSC website.
• Any name, roll number, or identifying information must be masked or erased from the annexures submitted, as the process is identity-less.
