- B.Sc. (Agriculture) / B.Sc. Biotechnology (Plant Sciences) / B.Tech. Biotechnology.
- M.Sc. in Plant Breeding & Genetics / M.Sc. Biotechnology.

- Matriculation level certificate of Punjabi language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or second language).
- Note: Candidates with Ph.D. in a relevant discipline are eligible even without a Master's degree.
