PCMC Apprentice Trainee Recruitment 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed their ITI from a Government-recognised Industrial Training Institute in the relevant trade. The minimum educational qualification for all trades is ITI pass (NCVT/SCVT) in the corresponding trade.

Candidates must have passed the ITI examination in the years 2023, 2024, or 2025 - candidates who passed before 2023 will not be considered. For the COPA (PASA) trade specifically, preference will be given to candidates who have passed Marathi or English typewriting. Candidates who have previously completed an apprenticeship at PCMC or any other institution/organisation are not eligible.

Candidates who are currently working as Apprentices at any other establishment or company are also not eligible to apply. The full 100% profile must be updated on the NAPS Portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) before applying.

PCMC Apprentice Trainee Recruitment 2026-27 Age Limit

The official notification does not specify a fixed minimum or maximum age limit for Apprentice Trainees. However, as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, the minimum age for apprenticeship is 14 years. PCMC Apprentice Trainee Stipend 2026-27

Selected Apprentice Trainees will receive a stipend as per the rates prescribed by the Central Government under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (as revised from time to time).

The stipend is payable only for the prescribed training duration. MAPS (Maharashtra Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) benefits - i.e., the government share of the stipend payable by the State Government - can also be claimed by apprentices during their training period under the State Government scheme.

No travel allowance or any other expenses will be paid to candidates appearing for selection or document verification. Apart from the stipend, no other perquisites, allowances, or service benefits (like PF, gratuity, or HRA) will be payable, as the engagement is temporary and not a regular employment. Apprentice Trainees are not entitled to any regular post at PCMC after completion of training.

Important Instructions for Candidates
