PNGRB Consultant (Engineering) - Level I Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualifications: Graduate Degree in Engineering/ Master's degree in Science/ Economics/ Operations Research or equivalent from a recognized University or institution
• Essential Experience: 0-3 years of experience in the following areas of work: (a) Experience of techno-economic project appraisal/evaluation/choice of project involving large investments in the field of oil and gas pipelines, storage capacities, marketing infrastructure/ city gas distribution etc.; or (b) Experience in development/ formulation of regulations or familiarity with latest technological developments in the oil and gas sector; or (c) Experience in setting up of city gas distribution network, its operation and maintenance; or (d) Experience in operation and maintenance of oil and gas pipelines; or (e) Experience in drafting of technical standards/safety codes pertaining to oil and gas pipelines & installations
• Desirable: Previous exposure to Competition Law

Salary/Stipend

• Lump sum monthly remuneration: Rs 70,000/- with 10 percent increase on completion of each year in PNGRB. No other allowance on account of conveyance, telephone, etc will be paid

Age Limit (as on 28-12-2025)

• Age of the Applicant to be engaged as individual Consultant, as on date the last date of receipt of application for the position, shall be below 62 years. However, the Board may at its discretion relax the age of the applicant for the position of individual consultant and age for retaining the individual Consultant

• In case the number of applications is more, PNGRB may shortlist the candidates to be called for interview based on the criteria to be decided by the competent authority

General Information/Instructions

• Designation and period of appointment: The individual Consultant (Engineering) at Level I engaged in PNGRB for the purpose will be designated as Assistant Consultant or as may be decided by the PNGRB. The term of engagement of Consultant (Engineering)- Level I will be initially for a period of one year and it will be extendable by another two years, one year at a time, at the discretion of PNGRB. He will be on probation for a period of six months and based on his performance during the probation period, the engagement may be confirmed by the Board for the remaining period
• Termination of Consultancy: PNGRB reserves the right to terminate or curtail the consultancy period at any time without assigning any reason. In case the individual consultant desires to leave the consultancy services, he/she may do so by giving one month notice
• Discharge of Functions and Working Conditions: The individual consultants shall discharge such responsibilities diligently as may be assigned to him from time to time and shall abide by all day to day working conditions/facilities like closed holidays, working hours, etc. of PNGRB
• Confidentiality: The individual consultants shall maintain confidentiality of the information/data, etc. In case it is found to be violating the code of conduct, which is generally applicable for working in a Government office/establishment, by or on behalf of any individual consultant, apart from terminating the consultancy period, PNGRB reserves the right to take any other action as it may deem fit including Legal remedies available to it such as civil/criminal case etc. and may further debar such individual consultant from future engagement by the Board
• Leaves: The individual consultants will be allowed to avail 1.5 days leave per month during the consultancy period. He may accumulate these leaves up to a maximum of five days and avail the same together. Beyond the above allowable leaves, the monthly consultancy fee will be reduced proportionately
• No Permanent Employment: The selected individual consultants will be engaged on contract basis only and he will not have any right or claim for permanent employment with PNGRB. PNGRB will not entertain any type of correspondence in this regard
• Acceptance of the Terms & Conditions: The selected individual consultants will be required to sign a copy of the engagement letter and the terms & conditions, which will be treated as a contract, at the time of joining PNGRB
• Shortlisting of candidates: In case the number of applicants is more, PNGRB may shortlist the candidates, based on the criteria to be decided by the competent authority and it shall be binding on the candidate. Incomplete applications without supporting documents and not in the prescribed proforma shall be summarily rejected. It would be in the interest of the applicants that all the documents attached are clearly legible and self-attested. Original documents shall be verified at the time of interview
• PNGRB reserves the right to annul the process of selection/engagement of individual consultants against this public notice at any time without assigning any reason

• The envelope should be superscribed as "Application for the post of Individual Consultant (Engineering) - Level I against Public Notice dated 11.12.2025"
• Application complete in all respect may be submitted within 15 days from the date of publication of the indicative advertisement in this regard in the Employment News
• If any candidate opts to send application by email, he may send legible scanned copy of the application (in the prescribed proforma) and documents supporting educational qualifications and experience (in PDF format) at email ID: [email protected] within 15 days from the date of publication of the indicative advertisement in this regard in the Employment News. However, he / she must send the physical copy of the application and all the supporting documents in the address/manner mentioned above, failing which the application will not be considered
