RSSB Junior Engineer Eligibility Criteria & Qualification
Educational qualification requirements differ by post. Candidates must also have working knowledge of Hindi written in the Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture for all three JE posts.

Candidates in the final year of the relevant course may also apply, but they must acquire the prescribed qualification by the date of the examination; otherwise they will not be considered eligible for this recruitment.
RSSB JE Nationality Criteria
An applicant must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or specified East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates in categories other than Indian citizens must produce an eligibility certificate issued by the concerned authority of the Government of India.
RSSB Junior Engineer Age Limit 2026
As per the notification, age is calculated with reference to 1 January 2027. A candidate must have attained 18 years of age and must not have crossed 40 years of age as on that date.

The relaxation provisions listed above are "non-cumulative," meaning a candidate can avail the benefit of only one applicable provision, not a combination of multiple provisions. RSSB Junior Engineer Application Fee 2026
The application fee is a One Time Registration (OTR) fee paid via SSO ID and is payable through e-Mitra kiosk, Citizen Service Centre (CSC), net banking, ATM-cum-debit card, or credit card.

Candidates who have already deposited the OTR fee earlier are not required to pay it again. Candidates from other states who fall under SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories are treated as General category candidates for this recruitment and must pay the General category fee.

RSSB Junior Engineer Salary 2026
The Junior Engineer post carries a pay scale of Pay Matrix Level-10 as per the 7th Pay Commission adopted by the Rajasthan Government.
- Selected candidates will be appointed as probationary trainees for a 2-year probation period.
- During probation, a fixed monthly remuneration (as prescribed by the state government from time to time) will be paid, instead of the regular pay scale.
- No additional allowances such as House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, or Special Pay are payable during the probation period.
- On successful completion of probation (training, passing the required examination, and satisfactory conduct), the candidate becomes eligible for the regular pay scale and confirmation/permanency.
RSSB Junior Engineer Selection Process 2026
Selection to the Junior Engineer posts will be made through a written examination only, as per the scheme given below.

The examination will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT), Tablet Based Test (TBT), or OMR-based offline test. How to Apply for RSSB Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026
Applications for RSSB JE Recruitment 2026 must be submitted online through the SSO Rajasthan portal. Offline applications will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- Visit the SSO Rajasthan portal at sso.rajasthan.gov.in and log in using your SSO ID.
- Go to Citizen Apps (G2C) and select the Recruitment Portal.
- Click on "Apply Now" for the RSSB Junior Engineer Joint Direct Recruitment 2026.
- If you have not already paid the One Time Registration (OTR) fee, complete OTR registration first by entering your category (Unreserved/Reserved), disability status, and home state, then pay the prescribed OTR fee.
- Complete the online application form carefully, upload the required live photograph (not older than 1 month) and visible body mark details.
- Fill in educational qualification and other required details in the Document Details section as per the updated process notified on the RSSB website.
- Review the application preview (note: preview is not the same as final submission) and click Final Submit.
- Note down and save the generated Application ID/print of the submitted application for future reference.
Candidates are strongly advised to complete their OTR registration and payment well before the last date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
RSSB Junior Engineer Important Instructions
- Candidates should read the detailed advertisement carefully before filling the online application.
- Only one correction opportunity is allowed within 3 days after the application closing date, on payment of Rs. 300, and a further limited correction window of 7 days after the exam for specific fields; core details like name, father's name, date of birth, photograph, signature, and thumb impression can never be changed after submission.
- Candidates applying under a reserved category must clearly mention their category in the prescribed column; category cannot be changed after the correction window closes.
- Candidates already blocked/debarred from RSSB or other recruitment agencies cannot apply during their debarment period.
- Category-specific certificates (caste, EWS, disability, ex-serviceman, sportsperson, widow/divorcee) must be issued on or before the last date of application to be considered valid.
- Candidates already in government service must inform their employer in writing before applying and must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of document verification.
- Marriage registration is mandatory for appointment to government service as per the relevant Rajasthan Government circular.
- Candidates must strictly follow live photograph and signature/thumb impression upload guidelines specified in the notification (clear face, plain light background, no dark glasses, correct file size and format).
- Mobile phones and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination centre/premises.
- Providing false information or using unfair means during the application or examination process can lead to disqualification and legal action under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2022.
