Candidates appearing in the final year/semester of the required qualification may also apply, but must submit proof of having acquired the qualification (including computer qualification, if prescribed) by the date fixed for Documents Verification; failure to do so results in automatic rejection even if the candidate clears the exam. For Ex-servicemen, computer qualification is not mandatory at the application stage but must be acquired before joining if selected; a minimum 3-month certificate course from a Defence Institution of the Government of India is also accepted as computer qualification.

Age is reckoned as on 1 January next following the last date fixed for online submission of application, i.e. 01-01-2027. Upper age relaxation: 5 years for male SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS candidates; 5 years for women in the Unreserved category; 10 years for women in SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS categories; an additional 5 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), on top of category relaxation. Ex-servicemen relaxation differs by post: for Junior Accountant/Junior Assistant, it is equal to the length of military service plus 3 years (capped so the resulting age does not exceed 50 years); for Junior Engineer-I, it is a flat 15 years (similarly capped at 50 years). There is no upper age limit for in-service candidates of the same Nigam (applying to that Nigam only), for widows and divorced women, or for persons repatriated from Pakistan during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Age relaxation is generally non-cumulative (one provision only), except in the case of PwBD, where it is added on top of category relaxation.
RVUN Recruitment 2026 Reservation
Reservation for SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS/TSP/Saharias/PWBD(PH)/Ex-servicemen/Outstanding Sports Person (Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II only)/In-Service Nigam employees is as per the relevant Service Regulations. Reservation for women (including widows and divorcees), PWBD, In-Service employees, Outstanding Sports Persons and Ex-servicemen is horizontal - selected candidates are adjusted within their own social category. EWS candidates must be bonafide residents of Rajasthan not covered under SC/ST/BC/MBC reservation, with family gross annual income below Rs.8 lakh. Transgender candidates are considered under the OBC category (per GoR Personnel Department letter dated 26-05-2023), unless already covered under SC/ST/MBC/EWS with the relevant certificate, in which case that category's benefits apply.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are eligible only for specific disability types notified against each post (Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, Locomotor Disability, Intellectual & Mental Behaviour, and Multiple Disability, with post-specific sub-categories) - full detail is in the official advertisement's PWBD eligibility table. Candidates applying under the PWBD category must undergo verification by a Medical Board constituted by the Rajasthan Medical Department at the Divisional Headquarters, regardless of any disability certificate already held.

RVUN Recruitment 2026 Salary
Selected candidates are initially engaged as "Probationer Trainee" for 2 years, drawing a fixed monthly remuneration during this period. On successful completion of probation, pay is fixed at the minimum of the applicable Level in the Pay Matrix as Basic Pay, plus allowances and other benefits as per relevant rules.

RVUN Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Junior Engineer-I & Junior Accountant
Selection is through a single Computer-Based common written competitive exam (Online mode), of 2 hours' duration, consisting only of Objective Type (MCQ) questions, with negative marking for wrong answers and no interview.
- Part A (60% weightage): For Junior Engineer-I, this is at Degree-in-Engineering level in the candidate's discipline. For Junior Accountant, this covers Corporate Accounting, Income Tax, Cost Accounting, Theory & Practice of Auditing, and Management Accounting/Advanced Cost Accounting/Cost & Management Audit/Computer Application in Accounting/Taxation Law & Practice/Advanced Financial Accounting, at Graduation Degree level.
- Part B (40% weightage): Reasoning & Mental Ability; Mathematics (Class-XII level for JE-I, Class-X level for Junior Accountant); General Knowledge & Everyday Science (with special reference to Rajasthan); Hindi General (Class-X level); English General (Class-X level).
Minimum qualifying marks: 30% for UR candidates, 20% for SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS/Ex-servicemen/PWBD(PH) candidates, in each part.
Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II
Selection is in two phases, with no interview:
- Phase-I (Computer Based Test): Stage-1 Pre-examination (screening only, no weightage in final merit) followed by Stage-2 Main-examination. Both are Objective/MCQ, covering Reasoning & Mental Ability, Mathematics (Class-X level), General Knowledge & Everyday Science, Hindi General (Class-X level) and English General (Class-X level). About 10 times the number of vacancies are admitted to the Main-examination from the Pre-examination merit list (with relaxed standards applied for reserved categories where needed to ensure adequate representation).
- Phase-II (Type Writing Test): For candidates other than PWBD - Hindi typing on computer (Speed Test: 10 minutes/25 marks; Efficiency Test: 10 minutes/25 marks) and English typing on computer (Speed Test: 10 minutes/25 marks; Efficiency Test: 10 minutes/25 marks). PWBD candidates are instead given the average marks obtained in the Main-examination of Phase-I in place of the Type Writing Test.
Final merit is based on 40% weightage to Main-examination marks and 60% weightage to Phase-II (Type Writing Test) marks. There is no negative marking in the Pre-examination, but there is negative marking in the Main-examination. Minimum qualifying marks: 30% for UR, 20% for SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS/Ex-servicemen/PWBD(PH) candidates.
For all three posts, if two or more candidates secure equal marks, the elder candidate (by date of birth) is placed higher in the merit list; for Junior Engineer-I, candidates who completed apprenticeship training in a Vidyut Nigam under the Apprentices Act, 1961 are given preference within that Nigam in case of a tie.

The written examination is conducted only in Online mode. Candidates must give preference for 6 out of 12 proposed centres; allotment is based on administrative convenience and seat availability, and the choice once exercised is final (no request for change of centre/date/session is entertained).

How to Apply for RVUN Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online
Applications must be submitted online only, through one of the official websites, between 5 August 2026 (10:00 AM) and 25 August 2026 (Midnight). No other mode of application is accepted.
- Visit any of the official websites: energy.rajasthan.gov.in, or the Nigam-specific portals (rrvun, rrvpn, jvvnl, jdvvnl, avvnl).
- Click "APPLY ONLINE," then "CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION" and enter your Name, Contact details and Email ID to generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password (also sent by email/SMS).
- Fill the application form, using "SAVE AND NEXT" to save progress; carefully verify all details, as no change is possible after clicking "FINAL SUBMIT."
- Upload scanned Photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm), Signature (black ink, not in capital letters), Left Thumb Impression, and a Hand Written Declaration (in English, in the candidate's own handwriting) as per the specifications in the official advertisement. A Live Photograph must also be captured via webcam or mobile phone.
- Indicate your preference of Companies (RVUN/RVPN/JVVN/AVVN/JdVVN) - this preference is final and irrevocable, with no second opportunity for change.
- Preview the application, click "FINAL SUBMIT," then proceed to the "Payment" tab and pay the applicable fee online.
- Take a printout of the E-Receipt and the submitted Online Application Form for future reference - these are required at the time of Documents Verification.
A candidate may apply for more than one different post, but not submit multiple applications for the same post (only the latest valid application is retained in case of duplication, and fees paid for earlier attempts are forfeited).

RVUN Recruitment 2026 Documents Verification
Successful candidates, limited to about 2 times the vacancies in each category for each post/discipline, will be called for Documents Verification in order of merit. Candidates must bring original documents along with two self-attested photocopies, including (among others): the system-generated application printout, E-Receipt of fee, Degree/Provisional Degree or Institute Certificate, all mark-sheets, Senior Secondary/Secondary certificates (for date of birth), category certificates (SC/ST/EWS/BC/MBC, as applicable, issued by a Rajasthan competent authority only), PWBD medical certificate (if applicable), marriage/divorce/widowhood documents (if applicable), an affidavit regarding number of children, a Bonafide Resident Certificate, a character certificate, an affidavit regarding pending/past criminal cases, and an Employment Certificate or NOC if already employed in government service. Failure to appear for verification on the scheduled date leads to automatic rejection of candidature.
