WIHG Research Associate Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have 1st class in M.Sc., M.Tech or M.Sc. (Tech) in any allied field of Geoscience suiting to WIHG’s research domains mentioned in the advertisement.
• Candidates must have submitted their Ph.D thesis or have been awarded a doctoral degree in the field of Geosciences.
• Candidates must have a minimum of three good publication records in SCI journals with at least one as lead author.
• Documents regarding thesis submission or doctoral degree must be included in the application.
• Work areas include Paleoclimatology, Tree-ring analysis, Dendroclimatology; Mineralogy, Fluid Inclusion, Mantle Petrology, Subduction & Collisional Geodynamics; Seismotectonics, Interior of the Earth; Low-temperature Thermochronology, Thermo-kinematic Modelling, U-Pb Geochronology of zircon; Vertebrate paleontology and Biostratigraphy.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age Limit for Research Associate: 35 years.
• Date of age reckoning: 1st April of the year of application.
• Age relaxation is admissible as per Government of India rules.

Salary/Stipend

• Consolidated salary for Research Associate: Rs. 61,000/- per month.
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid as applicable as per rules.
• Emoluments will be as per guidelines of the Department of Science & Technology (DST) as amended from time to time.

Selection Process

• Applications will be scrutinized based on merit record, qualifications, experience and suitability to the Institute’s needs.
• The Institute reserves the right to shortlist candidates for interview.
• Only selected candidates will be informed about their selection within a fortnight from the date of interview.
• The Institute reserves the right not to fill any position if suitable candidates are not found.
