APTET Eligibility Details: Government of Andhra Pradesh (School Education Department) conducts Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test twice in a year. APTET consists of two papers i.e Paper I & II. The candidates who want to teach I to V classes have to write Paper-I & for VI to VIII classes they must write Paper-II. The candidate at the time of applying for APTET should have the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for category I to V classes (Paper –I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper-II) as given below…
Educational Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification for Paper-I: Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or) Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Minimum Qualification for Paper-II:
(i). Any degree and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Any degree with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) or 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
or
(ii). Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed.
