UPSC CDS II 2011 – Online Application Form for CDS Exam: Union Public Service Commission – UPSC has calling applications from qualified and eligible candidates for Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2011, on 18th September 2011 for admission to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy for the courses commencing in July, 2012 and Officers Training Academy, Chennai for the courses (Men and Women) commencing in October, 2012. Those who are interested candidates have to apply through either online or offline on or before last dates. UPSC CDS II 2011 vacancy details:

1. Indian Military Academy: 250 posts
2. Indian Naval Academy: 40 posts
3. Air Force Academy: 32 posts
4. Officers Training Academy: 175 posts
5. Officers Training Academy: 25 posts.

Age limit: For military Academy, unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January 1993 only are eligible, for Indian Naval Academy, unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 (2nd July 1988 incase of NCC Naval wing-’C’ certificate holders) and not later than 1st July 1993 only are eligible, for Air Force Academy, unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1989 and later 1st July, 1993 only are eligible, for Officers Training Academy-(SSC course for Men), Male candidates (Married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July 1987 and not later than 1st July 1993 only are eligible, for Officers Training Academy-(SSC women non-technical course), unmarried women, issue less widows who have not remarried and issue less divorces (in possession of divorcee documents) who have not remarried are eligible they should have been not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January, 1993.

Educational qualification: For Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy, Degree from a recognized university or equivalent, for Indian Naval Academy, Degree in Engineering, for Air Force Academy, Degree of a recognized university (with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering, candidates who are studying in final year Degree course and yet to pass final year Degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the examination bet they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates.

Application Form: For Offline apply – The application form can be purchased obtainable from the designated Head post offices/post offices through out the country against cash payment of Rs 30/-.

Application fee: Candidates applying online are required to apply a reduced fee of Rs 100/ (No fee for SC/ST/Female candidates) either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash using net banking facility of SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card, those who are apply offline through common application form are required to pay a fee of Rs 200/- through a single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS), Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS) may be obtained from the post office and pasted on the application form in the space provided therein.

How to apply: The eligible and interested candidates have to apply through either online or offline.

Online Application Form: candidates have to apply through online from http://www.upsconline.nic.in on or before 06/06/2011 till 11.59 pm.

Offline Application Form: Candidates can also apply offline through prescribed format that means Common Application Form, which can be purchased from designated Head Offices or post offices through out the country by cash payment of Rs 30/-, the candidates required to paste the postage stamp of Rs 6/- on the Acknowledgement card and send it along with application form, candidates duly filled in application form and Acknowledgement Card should then mailed in the special envelop, candidates should also write the name of the examination— Combined Defence Services Examination-(II), 2011 on the envelop, to the following address on or before 13/06/2011, “Controller of Examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069”.

Closing date for online submission: 06/06/2011 till 11.59 pm.
Last date for receipt of offline application: 13/06/2011.
Date of written test: 18th September, 2011.
