AIBE 22 is the twenty-second edition of the All India Bar Examination, a qualifying test conducted by the Bar Council of India. It checks whether a law graduate has the minimum knowledge needed to practise law. Candidates who qualify receive a Certificate of Practice (CoP), which is required to practise before courts, tribunals and other judicial authorities in India.

How to Apply Online for AIBE 22
- Read the official press release before you start.
- Open the official website, allindiabarexamination.com.
- New candidates click Registration. Candidates who already have an AIBE login click Login and use their existing User ID and password.
- Fill in your personal, educational and enrolment details.
- Upload the required documents.
- Pay the application fee online by 28 October 2026.
- Check the preview, submit the form and take a printout.
- If you need to fix an entry, use the correction window, which is reported to close on 30 October 2026.
Candidates from AIBE XX or XXI who did not qualify are reported to be able to apply again with their existing login and do not need to register afresh.
Important Instructions Before You Apply
- Pay the fee before 28 October 2026. Applications without a paid fee are reported as not counted.
- Enter your name, date of birth and category exactly as they appear in your documents.
- Use a mobile number and email ID you can access. BCI sends updates to them.
- In the previous exam (AIBE XXI), mobile number, email ID, PwD category, caste category and exam city preference could not be edited after payment. Check whether the same rule applies to AIBE 22.
- Carry a printed admit card and a valid photo ID to the exam centre, as reported.
- Candidates who qualified AIBE XIX or later under the undertaking rule must submit their enrolment certificate by 6 January 2027, as per the official notice dated 7 July 2026 and the BCI letter it refers to. Read that letter for the conditions.
