The Department of Biochemistry at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar is filling one Project Research Scientist-I (Medical) post on a purely temporary contractual basis under the ICMR project 'Addressing tuberculosis related undernutrition and antitubercular treatment response via gut microbiota modulation'. • Essential qualification: MBBS/MD.
• Desirable: MBBS/MD with research experience in clinical projects, molecular biology research and analysis.
• Qualification and experience should be in the relevant discipline/field and from an institution of repute.
• Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 35 years. The cut-off date for age is the date of the Walk-In-Interview/Video Conferencing, that is, the date of the interview. Age relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per government rules.

Who Cannot Apply

Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department/Organisation are not eligible to apply. Mere fulfilment of the essential qualification does not guarantee selection.

Pay and Tenure

The emoluments are Rs. 67000/-+ HRA, as admissible, and the tenure is only 12 months. The notice says the rates shown are as per the guidelines and the sanction. The post is purely a temporary contract appointment.

3. Enclose self-attested photocopies of degree/diploma certificates and mark sheets, as the form states.

If selected, a candidate must produce the following in original for verification at the time of joining:

• Educational qualification certificates.
• Proof of date of birth.
• Experience certificates.
• One recent passport size photograph.
• Identity proof such as Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID/Driving License etc.
• One set of self-attested photocopies of all documents.
• SC/ST/OBC/Disability Certificate, if applicable.

Candidates who fail to bring the original certificates, or whose documents show a discrepancy, will not be allowed to join, and the position will be offered to waiting list candidates.

• The engagement can be terminated at any time by one month's notice on either side. It can also be terminated forthwith, or before the notice period expires, by paying a sum equal to one month's contractual amount.
• A candidate will not be permitted to surrender one month's contractual amount in lieu of the unexpired notice period, and must serve the full period of notice.
• A contract appointee has no claim on a regular post in the institute, the funding agency or any Department of Government of India. An undertaking to that effect must be submitted at the time of joining.
• Submission of wrong or false information disqualifies the candidature at any stage.
• Canvassing in any form is a disqualification.
• AIIMS, BBSR reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process and to consider or reject any application. The decision of the Director is final and binding.
