Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification (Project Scientist-I): Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Bioinformatics/Biological Sciences/Biomedical Science/Medical Laboratory Technology/Computational Biology and Integrative Sciences OR Four Years Graduate Degree / Engineering/IT/CS in relevant fields.
- Essential Qualification (Project Tech Support II - Technician & Field Worker): 12th in science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering or equivalent) + Five Years Experience OR Three Years Graduate degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences + two years’ experience in relevant subject.
- Desirable Qualification/Skills (Project Scientist-I): PhD in Mycology/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Microbiology, Publications/Thesis/Dissertation on Diagnostic test development/evaluation, Knowledge about bioinformatics tools for primer and probe development, Setting up PCR, microbiology experiments.
- Desirable Qualification (Field Worker): Knowledge and working experience in Excel, Linux etc.
Salary/ Stipend
- Project Scientist-I (Non-Medical): Rs 67,200/- (Consolidated total Emoluments)
- Project Tech Support II (Technician): Rs 24,000/- (Consolidated total Emoluments)
- Project Tech Support II (Field Worker): Rs 24,000/- (Consolidated total Emoluments)

- Project Scientist-I: Upper Age limit 35 years (relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/Ex Servicemen/ICMR re-entrenched staff as per rules)

Selection Process
- Applications will be scrutinized by the selection committee.
- Physical Interview (Walk-in-Interview), and a written test may be conducted if required based on applicant turnout.
- Selection is based purely on merit and interview basis.
General Information/ Instructions
- Nature of Employment: Contractual
- Duration of Employment: 6 Months to be renewed every 11 months and extendable up to maximum 3 years
- Job Location: Department of Microbiology, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar and Field Work as per the demands of the project
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
- No hostel or accommodation will be provided.
- These are tenure vacancies under funded project and not employment on AIIMS Bhubaneswar pay roll.
- The contract can be terminated by either side with 30 days’ notice or salary in lieu.
- Leave as per ICMR policy for extramural projects.
