The detailed Senior Resident Recruitment 2025 notification has been released by AIIMS Gorakhpur with the complete walk-in schedule. AIIMS Gorakhpur Senior Resident Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details

AIIMS Gorakhpur has announced a total of 53 vacancies for the Senior Resident Recruitment 2025 across various clinical departments. The department-wise and category-wise vacancy distribution is given in the table below.

As per the notification, 5% of the total seats are reserved for PwBD candidates, and in case no application is received under EWS category, the vacancy may be considered for UR candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are willing to apply for the Senior Resident posts must ensure that they fulfil the required eligibility criteria as specified by AIIMS Gorakhpur. The eligibility mainly relates to educational qualification, age limit, and registration with the medical council.

Educational Qualification

For Senior Resident (All Departments): Candidates must possess a postgraduate medical degree in the respective discipline (such as MD/MS/DNB) from an NMC-recognized University/Institute. Valid NMC/MCI/State Medical Council registration is mandatory before joining, if selected.

For Trauma & Emergency Department: Applications of candidates having MD/MS/DNB in Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, or Orthopaedics will be considered for Senior Resident Trauma & Emergency posts.

Age Limit (As on 24-12-2025)

Candidates applying for the AIIMS Gorakhpur Senior Resident Recruitment 2025 must have an upper age limit of 45 years as on the date of interview i.e. 24 December 2025. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories and PwBD candidates as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

AIIMS Gorakhpur Senior Resident Salary

Candidates selected as Senior Resident (Group “A”) in AIIMS Gorakhpur are appointed under Pay Level 11 of the 7th CPC with usual allowances including NPA where applicable. The appointment is under the Government of India Residency Scheme and is purely on a tenure basis, initially for one year extendable up to three years based on performance.

The appointment is full-time and on whole-time basis, and the appointee cannot engage in private practice or other paid assignments during the tenure.
