AMU Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 2 Senior Resident Posts

Two temporary Senior Resident posts – one in the Department of Anaesthesiology and one in the Department of Radiotherapy – at Pay Level AL-11 are open at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, under Local advertisement No. FM/43/2026 dated 7 November 2026. Rules for PwD Candidates

• Only persons with a degree of relevant disability of at least 40% may apply for posts earmarked for PwD candidates.
• They must upload a Disability Certificate on the prescribed Proforma (Appendix-I) issued by the Competent Authority.
• Applicable categories: (A) Blindness and low vision (VH); (B) Deaf and hard of hearing (HH); (C) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid-attack victims and muscular dystrophy (OH); (D) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (E) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (A) to (D) including deaf-blindness.
• The Proforma/Format at Appendix-1 is available on https://www.amu.ac.in, https://www.amuregistrar.com and https://careers.amuonline.ac.in.
• The claim of disability of the selected applicant will be examined by the Medical Board of the University before the appointment letter is issued.

Pay and Terms

The notice does not mention any allowances or the in-hand salary. Appointments will be made on a purely temporary basis, subject to termination at any time without notice or assignment of reason. The University reserves the right to get selected applicants examined by an Internal Medical Board.

Application Fee

The Processing Fee is non-refundable and is to be paid only in the Online Mode at the Careers Portal. As a separate form is needed for each post, the fee applies to each form.

Selection Process

Candidates are selected through an interview before the Local Selection Committee (LSC), held in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, AMU, Aligarh, on 30 November 2026, with verification of original documents. The University may also constitute a committee to scrutinize and short-list applications, and reserves the right to restrict the number of applicants called for interview on the basis of Rules/Criteria or any other condition it may deem fit.

Candidates must report with all original documents half an hour before the scheduled time of the LSC. The notice states that no separate Notice/Interview letter will be issued to candidates in this regard. Candidates who do not bring the originals of the required documents for verification will not be allowed to appear before the interview.

How to Apply for AMU Recruitment 2026

1. Fill the Application Form only in Online Mode at the AMU Careers Portal (careers.amuonline.ac.in) by 14 November 2026 (upto 11:59 P.M.), following the instructions in the advertisement and the User Manual on the portal.
2. Fill a separate Application Form for each post listed under a different serial number of the advertisement.
3. Pay the non-refundable Processing Fee of Rs. 500/- online at the Careers Portal; PwD candidates upload the Disability Certificate on the prescribed Proforma instead.
4. After successful submission, take a printout of the PDF file of the Application Form on A-4 size paper.
5. Sign the printout and paste a recent front-facing photograph at the designated place.
6. Attach self-attested copies of all relevant documents listed below.
7. On the top-left side of the cover, write the post applied for, the advertisement number and its date.
8. Send it by post to: Office of the Dean, J. N. Medical College, Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh-202002. The hard copy must reach by 21 November 2026; hard copies will not be received after 04:00 p.m. on that date.

• Certificate of NET, JRF, SLET/SET, CSIR etc. as the case may be
• M. Phil/Ph.D. Degree, wherever applicable
• Experience Certificates, wherever applicable, and other testimonial(s)
• No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if employed / relieving orders of all previous employers
• Disability Certificate on the prescribed Proforma (Appendix-I), for PwD candidates

Important Instructions

• Applications received late or without the necessary supporting documents (Degrees, Certificates, Mark Sheets, Experience Certificate etc.) will be summarily rejected.
• Incomplete Application Forms or applications on plain paper will not be entertained.
• Requests to include any document or information in the Application Form after the last date of submission will not be entertained.
• The University reserves the right to alter, correct or add to the advertisement, or cancel it in full or in part, without assigning any reason. Any Amendment/Corrigendum will be published only on the Careers Portal.
