AIIMS Guwahati Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualifications: For Medical: Bachelor of Dental Surgery + MDS(Public Health Dentistry) OR MDS with public health research experience OR MPH, Registered with DCI. For Non Medical: First-class Post Graduate Degree in Physiology, Public health, Psychology. For PTS III: Minimum three-year graduate in social science or life science plus three years' experience Or Postgraduate degree in social science or life science.
• Desirable: For Medical: Experience in dental public health projects, biostatistical application, good publication record, excellent writing and verbal skills, fluency in English, willing to travel. For Non Medical: Experience in qualitative research, software applications, at least one qualitative research publication, willing to travel, proficiency in regional language(s). For PTS III: Graduation in BSW/MSW, experience in research and use of statistical software for data analysis, willing for extensive travel.

Salary/Stipend

• Project Research Scientist – I (Medical): 67000/- + 20% HRA
• Project Research Scientist - I (Non Medical): 56000/- + 20% HRA
• Project Technical Support - III: 28,000/- + 20% HRA

Age Limit 

• Maximum Age: Not exceeding 35 years

Selection Process

• Interested Candidates fulfilling the criteria may send their application along with copies of their Curriculum Vitae mentioning Academics and Public Health and desirable experience.
• List of shortlisted candidates along with date of written test/interview will be published on AIIMS Guwahati Website before the written test/interview. Candidates having desirable experiences will be given due weightage during shortlisting.

General Information/Instructions

• The vacancies mentioned are as per the ICMR-NCTB Quasi Experimental Trial Project guidelines.
• If the performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory by the Principal Investigator appointment can be terminated at any time without any prior notice/compensation.
• Successful candidates will normally be engaged on Project Human Resource Positions initially for a period of 11 months or less, depending upon the tenure of the project and functional requirements. Continuation / extension to engagement of Project Human Resource Positions will be depending upon evaluation of the performance, tenure of the project, availability of funds, functional requirements and approval from the competent authority.
• The rates of the emoluments / stipend may vary according to the sanction of the funding agency of the project.
• Cut-off age limit will be as on the last date of application.
• Separate application should be submitted for each position if applicable. Allotment of project to the successful candidate will be decided by the competent authority at its discretion.
• No TA/ DA will be paid to attend the interview / personal discussion and candidates have to arrange transport/ accommodation themselves.
• The persons engaged on human resource project positions will normally be posted at the study site; however, they can be posted to any other sites in the interest of research work.
• The persons engaged on Project Human Resource Positions shall not have any claim on a regular post in ICMR or AIIMS Guwahati or in any of its institutes or in any other government organizations and their project term with breaks or without breaks in any or multiple projects will not confer any right for further assignment or transfer to any other project or appointment / absorption/ regularization of service in funding agency or in ICMR or AIIMS, Guwahati.
• AIIMS Guwahati reserves the right to terminate the project human resource positions even during the agreed study period without assigning any reason.
• AIIMS Guwahati reserves the right to cancel / modify the process at any time, at its discretion.
• The decision of the competent authority will be final and binding.
• ICMR and / AIIMS, Guwahati reserves rights to consider or reject any application / candidature.
• The Selected candidate will have to join within 7 days of the declaration of results.
