Eligibility Criteria

Essential for Medical Candidates : A Postgraduate qualification MD or MS

Essential for Non-Medical Candidates: Postgraduate qualification i.e. Master degree in the discipline/allied subject. A Doctorate degree of a recognized University.

Super Speciality disciplines: D.M. or M.Ch (recognized under the IMC Act, #1956 or by the NMC) in concerned department OR qualifications recognized by the NMC as being equivalent thereto for employment as a Teacher in a Medical Institution. The qualifying degree must be in the subject of the

Essential for Dentistry: M.D.S. or Post Graduate degree recognized by the Dental Council of India as being equivalent thereto for employment as a teacher in a medical college, in the subject of the post. post.

 Age Limit

• Maximum Age limit for Professor and Additional Professor: Not Exceeding 58 Years
• Maximum Age limit for Associate Professor and Assistant Professor: Not Exceeding 50 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

The crucial date for calculation of age limit and experience will be 24.11.2025, i.e., the last date of online submission of application. The period of experience will be counted after obtaining the prescribed education qualification. The requisite qualification and experience obtained after the closing date of receipt of online application i.e. 24.11.2025 will not be considered. This rolling advertisement is valid for one year that is till 24.11.2026. The cutoff date for subsequent rounds of recruitment will be informed on our website. Candidates are requested to refer the website periodically for applying. Application received for previous round of recruitment will not be considered automatically for subsequent round of recruitment.

Selection Process

• Interviews will be held at AIIMS Madurai or at any other place and mode as may be decided by the Director, AIIMS Madurai. Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents for verification before the interview. They may also be asked to submit an affidavit / declaration regarding as decided by AIIMS Madurai at the time of interview.
• After verification of documents, ‘standing selection committee’ shall conduct interview/selection process for only eligible candidates against the post they have applied for. Candidates must note that mere appearing in interview does not confer them any right to selection. Candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks (suitability standard) in interview as may be fixed by the standing selection committee for empanelment in the order of merit for selection. Candidates not scoring the minimum qualifying marks/suitability standard will not be considered for selection irrespective of their merit position.
• Interviews to the advertised posts will be held in a phased manner. The decision of the competent authority of AIIMS, Madurai in this regard is final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Candidates are requested to refer our website regularly for the dates of interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Personal interview.
