Common Mistakes to Avoid – AP Power Sector AEE Application 2026

Many candidates lose their candidature due to avoidable errors during the application process for the AP Power Sector AEE Vacancy 2026. The following are the most critical pitfalls to be aware of before you apply.

  • Confusing Journal Number with completed application - Paying the fee and receiving a Journal Number does NOT mean your application is submitted. You must log back in, fill the complete form, upload all certificates, and click Submit. Many candidates miss this step.
  • Not linking Aadhaar to your active mobile number - Registration requires OTP verification to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. If your current number is not linked to Aadhaar, update it at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra at least 48–72 hours before 30 June 2026 - updates take time to reflect.
  • Locking wrong utility or zone preferences - Preferences for Power Utility and Zone/Unit entered at the time of application are completely final. There is no provision to change them after submission. Review carefully before clicking Submit - this choice has permanent career impact.
  • Uploading an outdated EWS certificate - The EWS Income Certificate must be issued within one year prior to the notification date - i.e., not before 25 June 2025. Older EWS certificates will be rejected at verification.
  • Not uploading certificates before the deadline - All certificates must be uploaded by 20 July 2026. Without uploaded certificates, the Hall Ticket will not be generated and you cannot appear for the CBT.
  • Using a Distance Mode degree from another state's university - Engineering degrees awarded under Distance Mode through study centres of State Universities outside Andhra Pradesh are explicitly declared not legally valid for all AP Power Sector AEE recruitments. Do not apply under this category.
  • Uploading illegible or cropped documents - All uploaded certificates must be clear, legible scanned copies of originals. Tampered documents or partially visible scans will result in outright rejection.
  • Submitting a Residence Certificate when a Study Certificate is needed - If you have studied up to Class VII in any educational institution, a Residence Certificate will NOT be accepted for local candidature - a Study Certificate is mandatory.
  • Carrying mobile phones or electronic devices to the exam - Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, pen drives, and all Bluetooth/electronic devices are strictly prohibited at the exam centre, even in switched-off mode. Violations can result in a permanent ban.
  • Attempting to influence postings through recommendations - All five utilities maintain confidential registers of external recommendations received. Any attempt to influence postings through political or other means results in termination and permanent debarment from all future recruitments.

Reservation Policy – AP Power Sector AEE 2026

The AP Power Sector AEE 2026 reservation follows vertical reservations for SC (Group-I, II & III), ST, BC (A, B, C, D & E), and EWS candidates as per applicable Andhra Pradesh Government Orders and the Presidential Order (AP Presidential Order 2025). • Local candidature: 95% of vacancies in each zone are reserved for local candidates from the respective zone.
  • Open/Non-local: 5% of vacancies are open to non-local candidates.
  • Candidates from other states are considered under the General (unreserved/OC) category only.
