Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications: B.E./ B. Tech/ B.Sc Engineering in ECE & M. Tech (Communication Engineering or equivalent)
- Essential qualifications: Retired in the grade of Scientist 'G' (or equivalent) or higher
- Desirable: Possess knowledge of communication signal processing
- experience: Minimum of 25 years of experience in design activities related to defence communication equipment viz Combat Net Radio's VLF Receivers etc.
Salary/Stipend
- The consolidated remuneration payable to the advisor shall be the last pay drawn i.e. Basic Pay at the time of superannuation from the previous Government Organization.
- In the event of extension, the remuneration for the extended period (i.e. one year) shall be increased by 5% on the last drawn remuneration (excluding conveyance component).
- Conveyance reimbursement shall be payable at the rate of Rs. 8,000/- per month.

- Screening and selection will be based on the details provided by the applicants in the application form.
- The candidature of the applicant will be provisional and subject to verification of Certificates/ Testimonials submitted by him/her.
General Information/Instructions
- Applicant must be a citizen of India.
- Provide guidance in key areas and mentor in house design and development team
- Provide understanding in requirements analysis, conceptualization, finalization of interoperability requirements with legacy communication equipment
- Guide, finalise test cases, integration and evaluation
- Advisor shall be engaged under the Research & Development category and he will report to Unit Head (BEL Panchkula).
- The initial period of engagement shall be for one year which may be extended year-on-year up to a maximum of 3 years (i.e. overall tenure of 3 years) or till the incumbent attains the age of 68 years, whichever is earlier. If the advisor has gained relevant experience working in other organizations post retirement, the number of years of such experience would be considered for age relaxation. However, the extension of tenure for Advisors shall depend on business requirement only. The period of engagement will come to an end on completion of the prescribed period.
- To meet specific business requirements and give expertise in required functional/ domain areas as mentioned the Advisor will function either from the Unit / Office / On-site location or from residence, out of which, minimum 8 working days in a month shall be from the Unit/Office / On-site location.
- Advisor shall be entitled to TA/DA for official journey within India as applicable to their grade (equivalent ED/GM) at the time of superannuation.
- During official visits, Guest House accommodation will be arranged based on availability. In the event of non-availability of Guest House, stay in Hotels shall be regulated as per the TA/DA Rules (equivalent to BEL scale of pay).
- External Advisors who are bound by the Confidentiality-cum-Non-Compete agreements with their previous employer are not eligible to apply. On joining, Advisors shall enter into a 'Confidentiality-cum-Non-Compete' Agreement with BEL.
- The applicant should be clear from Vigilance / Disciplinary angle at the time of retirement. The engagement shall be subject to vigilance clearance from previous department.
- Applications that are incomplete, not in the prescribed format, illegible, without the required enclosures will be summarily rejected without assigning reasons and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- The applicant are required to possess one valid and active e-mail id, which is to be mentioned in the application form. Information pertaining to the selection and other correspondence will be sent to the email ID furnished by the applicant. Under no circumstance applicant should share e-mail ID of any other person. - BEL reserves the right to change (cancel / modify / add) any of the criteria, method of selection, number of posts, indicated above based on the actual requirement at the time of selection. BEL also reserves the right to cancel / restrict / enlarge / modify or alter the recruitment or selection process, if need so arises without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereafter.
- Candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of selection process or after joining, if any information provided by the applicant is found not in conformity with the criteria mentioned in the advertisement. The candidature is also liable for rejection at any stage if BEL comes across any evidence/ knowledge that the qualification, experience and any other particulars indicated in the application/other forms/ formats/ declarations are not recognized/ false/ misleading and/or amounts to suppression of information/particulars which should have been brought to the notice of BEL.
