BSSRV Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications:

• For Professor (Arts/Science): Ph.D. degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• For Associate Professor: Ph.D. Degree in concerned/allied/relevant disciplines, Master's Degree with at least 55% marks.
• For Assistant Professor: Master's degree with 55% marks in concerned/relevant/allied subject, NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC regulations.
• For Professor (CSE): Ph.D. degree in relevant field and First class or equivalent at Bachelor's or Master's level in relevant branch.
• Desirable: For CSE: Multi-Disciplinary academic background, Working knowledge/Academic background experience in Indian Knowledge System, Usage of Experimental Learning Pedagogy inside and outside the classroom.

Experience:

• For Professor (Arts/Science): Minimum ten years teaching/research.
• For Associate Professor: Minimum eight years teaching/research.
• For Assistant Professor: As per NET/Ph.D. exemptions.
• For Professor (CSE): Minimum 10 years experience, at least 3 years as Associate Professor level.

Salary/Stipend

• Professor: Rs. 1,44,200/- to 2,18,200/-
• Associate Professor: Rs 1,31,400/- to 2,17,100/-
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 57,700/- to 1,82,400/-

Application Fee

• Rs. 2500.00/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only)
• Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fees be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

Selection Process

• The Academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A), shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the presentation/interview.
• In case of a large number of applications against one post, the university reserves the right for short listing of applications to be called for interview, even if eligible.
• The university has a right to decide the mode of screening and testing the applicant for shortlisting and selection.
• The University also reserves the right to set additional criteria for shortlisting the candidates.

General Information/Instructions

• The candidates must have a valid email id and mobile number through which he/she will get registered with the online application portal.
• Qualifications are as per UGC/AICTE regulations/Govt. of Assam order, if any, shall be applicable and upto date amendment of said regulations/order.
• Candidates should fill in the details to register and then fill the information in the online application form at the appropriate places very carefully.
• After submission of the ONLINE application in the portal a duly signed hard copy (pdf) of the completed application(s) must be submitted to The Registrar, Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya, Golaghat Engineering College Campus, Golaghat, Assam – 785702 along with all necessary enclosures including the proof of submission of application fee and "No Objection Certificate (NOC)", wherever applicable, by the last date. The envelope containing the application should be super scribed "Application for the post ...................................., Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya, Advt. No. BSSRVI/Reg/252/2024/141.
• Non receipt of Hard Copy of application along with the required enclosures may lead to rejection of approval form.
• Applicants must submit a copy of the e-generated receipt of the payment along with the hard copy of the application.
• Duly signed hard copy of online application for each post must be placed in SEPARATE COVER with the name of the post and name of the Department clearly super-scribed on the envelope. The University shall not be responsible for any misplacement, omission etc. if two or more applications are put in one cover by any candidate. Candidates should submit the application in the prescribed format along with the necessary enclosures as mentioned above.
• Candidates are advised not to enclose copies of papers, which have been submitted but have not yet been published or have not been accepted for publication. These will not be entertained.
• Maximum age limit, if any and qualifications will be taken into account as on the closing date mentioned for receipt of applications.
• Application(s) received after the last date or incomplete in any form or without the application fee shall be summarily rejected. Those in employment must submit 'No Objection Certificate' from the concerned employer. However, one may send a copy of the application as "ADVANCE COPY" within the closing date. In such a case, the "NOC" should be produced by the candidates before the interview.
• Any changes/amendments/updates shall be posted in the University website: www.bssrv.ac.in. Candidates are advised to check the University website for such updates.
• Those who are in employment should submit their applications through proper channel or must submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer.
• Self-attested copies of Mark-Sheets, Birth Certificate, Educational Certificates and Experience Certificates etc. must be attached to the application. Incomplete applications or applications without relevant enclosures will be out rightly rejected.
• The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without assigning any reason thereof. The right is also reserved with the University either to fill or not to fill the post and its decision in this regard shall be final.
• Field with STAR (*) mark are mandatory and essential to be filled in by the candidates. After the required information has been provided, click submit button. However, before clicking "Submit" button, candidate must make sure that no changes are required and the information provided is correct and final. After the application is submitted, no changes will be entertained.
• The candidate should meet the eligibility criteria and provide the information which he/she possesses as on the last date of submission of the application. Candidates who do not possess the requisite educational qualification as on the closing date of receipt of application will not be eligible.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/PWD category should submit the prescribed certificate as per the proforma of the Government of Assam.
• Mere fulfilling the conditions does not guarantee that the applicant will be shortlisted for interview. The university has a right to decide the mode of screening and testing the applicant for shortlisting and selection. Moreover, the University also reserves the right to set additional criteria for shortlisting the candidates. The application should, therefore, furnish full details of qualification and experience passed in the relevant fields, over and above the minimum prescribed. Documentary evidences will be verified during the selection process.
• The University reserves the right to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend/withdraw the recruitment process without assigning any reason. The decision of the University shall be final and no appeal in this regard shall be entertained.
• The registration will be provisional as the eligibility of the shortlisted candidate will be verified at the time of Interview from the original documents. Candidature of a registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or even after joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria.
• Canvasing in any manner would entail this qualification of the candidate.
• The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of submitted information of documents and photographs. Hence, it is the responsibility of the applicant to access his/her own eligibility to the post in accordance to the advertisement, if it is detected at any time future, during the process of selection or even after appointment that the applicant was not eligible as per the prescribed recruitment rules, which could not be detected at the time of selection for whatsoever reason, his/her candidature/ appointment shall be liable to be cancelled on terminated immediately.
• The decision of the University in all matters will be final and no intervening correspondence will be entertained. Any dispute with regard to this selection/ recruitment process will be subject to courts/tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati.
• Amendments/Changes, if any in the advertisement will be published only in the University Website (www.bssrv.ac.in)
• The University shall verify the antecedents/documents submitted by an applicant at any time during the process of recruitment or during service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the applicant are fake, the applicant has undesirable, or clandestine connections, or has suppressed the said information then, his/her services shall be terminated forthwith.
• In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection, which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the applicant.
• The University reserves the right not to fill the post advertised and to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reasons.
• All correspondence (call letters for the interview) will be made through email only. Therefore, all candidates are requested to provide correct email address and regularly check their emails as well as the University Website for any updates.
• Candidates will have to appear before the Selection Committee for an interview at their own cost when called for. Mere fulfillment of academic qualifications will not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. In case of a large number of applications against one post, the university reserves the right for short listing of applications to be called for interview, even if eligible.
• No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview.
• The University will not be responsible for late/non receipt of call letters for the test/interview due to postal delay.
• All certificates, degrees and other documents must be produced in original for verification at the time of interview (if shortlisted); failing which the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the interview.
• Reservation policy of University will be applicable.
• The University reserves the right to change the number and nature of posts/vacancies in case of any discrepancy without assigning any reason.
