C-DAC Recruitment 2026 - Application Fee

C-DAC charges no application fee for any position under the JIT June 2026 Recruitment Cycle. This applies to all candidates across all categories — General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PwBD — and across all 11 centres. No payment of any kind is required at any stage of the application process.

C-DAC Recruitment 2026 - Selection Process

C-DAC follows a multi-stage selection process for JIT June 2026 positions. All communications regarding selection stages are sent by email only — no hard copy letters or call letters are dispatched at any stage.

Stage 1 – Initial Academic Screening: All submitted applications are assessed on the basis of academic records, qualifications, declared experience, and domain relevance. Only candidates meeting minimum eligibility criteria proceed further. C-DAC reserves the right to raise the minimum cut-off if the applicant volume significantly exceeds the number of vacancies.

Stage 2 – Written Test (if applicable): A written or skill-based test may be conducted at the discretion of individual centres, depending on the number of screened-in candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by email. No TA/DA is paid for attending the written test.

Stage 3 – Personal Interview: Candidates who clear the screening and written test stages are called for a personal interview by the respective C-DAC centre. The interview call is sent by email only. Receipt of an interview call letter does not confirm selection. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Important Points About the Nature of Engagement

These C-DAC positions are purely contractual — candidates should understand the terms before applying. The initial contract period is up to 3 years (1 year for the Kolkata centre), or project completion, whichever is earlier. Extensions are possible based on performance and project requirements.

Selected candidates have no right to regular or permanent appointment in C-DAC by virtue of this engagement. They may be deputed or transferred to any C-DAC project location across India based on organizational requirement. C-DAC internal candidates who are finally selected must resign from their current C-DAC service and join afresh for the selected post. Internal C-DAC candidates must also have completed a minimum of 2 years of service in C-DAC as on 20 June 2026 to be eligible.

Competition Level Analysis

C-DAC JIT June 2026 is a large-scale national recruitment drive and competition is expected to be moderate to high, particularly in popular domains. The absence of any application fee significantly increases applicant volume across all centres.

Roles in AI/ML, Full Stack Development, Cyber Security, and Software Development at the Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer levels will attract the largest applicant pools, especially from tier-2 and tier-3 engineering colleges. In contrast, niche domain posts in Quantum Computing, VLSI/Chip Design, Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, and HPC System Software will see comparatively lower competition but demand highly specialised credentials.

Initial screening is where effective filtering happens — CGPA, subject percentage, and domain match are the primary screening parameters. Candidates applying to Noida (e-Governance, Health Informatics) and Pune (200+ positions, wide domain breadth) should expect steeper competition due to location preference and higher vacancy counts. Documenting relevant project work, publications, or domain-specific internships may help distinguish profiles at the screening stage, even where such work is not formally counted as experience.

Who Should NOT Apply

Before investing time in the application, certain candidates should assess whether this recruitment is suitable for them.

Candidates seeking a permanent government job should not apply — all positions are purely contractual with no path to regular employment in C-DAC. Those whose degree is from an institution not approved by AICTE/UGC or not recognized by the Central or State Government will face rejection during document verification. Candidates unable to produce a CGPA-to-percentage conversion certificate from their university — where applicable — will also face issues at document stage.

Work experience from internships, academic project placements, teaching assignments, or research work embedded in a curriculum is explicitly excluded from the experience count unless a specific post states otherwise. Candidates without formal employer-issued experience certificates clearly showing period of employment, designation, and salary drawn will find their experience claims unacceptable. C-DAC internal candidates who have not completed 2 years of service by 20 June 2026 are ineligible. Anyone unwilling to be posted anywhere in India, or who prefers postal communication over email-only correspondence, will find this recruitment unsuitable.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Several avoidable errors frequently affect candidates during the C-DAC application process. Applying on one centre's portal and assuming it covers other centres is the most common mistake — each centre has a completely separate advertisement and application link, and candidates must apply individually to each centre they wish to be considered for. Similarly, candidates who want to be considered for more than one position must submit a separate application for each post.

Uploading a resume in any format other than PDF (max 500 KB) or a photograph other than .jpg (max 400 KB) will cause application issues. Failing to note the unique application number generated after submission is another frequent problem — this number is essential for all future reference. Government or PSU employees who do not forward their application through proper channel must ensure they carry a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer at the time of the interview. Sending physical documents or hard copies to any C-DAC centre is unnecessary — the entire application process is online. Assuming an interview call letter means confirmed selection is also incorrect; candidature remains provisional until document verification is completed.

How to Apply

Candidates must apply online only through the official C-DAC careers portal. A valid mobile number and active email ID are mandatory, as OTP-based login is used and all subsequent communications are sent by email.

  1. Visit the official C-DAC careers portal at https://careers.cdac.in/.
  2. Select the relevant centre from the list of active advertisements.
  3. Click 'Apply' against the specific position you wish to apply for.
  4. Log in using your registered mobile number and enter the OTP received.
  5. Fill in all required fields in the online application form accurately.
  6. Upload your passport-size photograph in .jpg format (max 400 KB) and your resume/CV in PDF format (max 500 KB).
  7. Submit the form and note down the unique application number generated upon successful submission.
  8. If applying for multiple positions or multiple centres, repeat the process with a separate application for each.

Documents to be produced at the time of document verification or joining include: educational mark sheets and degree certificates from Class 10 onwards, CGPA-to-percentage conversion certificate (if applicable), experience certificates from all previous and current employers, caste/category certificate (if applicable), disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board (for PwBD candidates), date of birth proof, and an NOC from the current employer where applicable.
