Eligibility Criteria
- SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects with minimum 55% marks and 3 years work experience in relevant trade in a Ministry/ Department/ Organization/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Body under Government of India/State Government/UT
- OR SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized institution in relevant trade
- OR SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects with minimum 55% marks and ITI certificate or National / State trade certificate in relevant trade
Salary/Stipend
- Pay Level 2 as per 7th CPC
- Total Emoluments Rs.39,545/- p.m. approx. (inclusive of Basic Pay, DA, HRA, TA etc.)
Age Limit (as on 30-12-2025)
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years
- Relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST
- Relaxation: 03 years for OBC (NCL)
- Relaxation: Up to 5 years for Council/Government/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertaking employees
- Relaxation: Up to 5 years for Ex-Servicemen after deduction of military service

- Eligible candidates are required to apply only through online application portal
- Candidates are advised to go through carefully the instructions placed on website for online before filling of the application
- Candidates have to register with valid Email Address by accessing “New Registration” button
- After successful Registration, candidates can login using their credentials to apply through the Online Application Portal
- Candidates are advised to follow the instructions while applying
- Candidates are required to remit the application fee of Rs.500/- (wherever applicable) in favour of "Director, CSIR-IICT" through online payment system viz., SBI Collect
- Candidates should upload all required documents including certificates, photograph, signature, fee receipt etc.
- If a candidate desires to apply for more than one postcode, he/she will have to submit a separate application along with the requisite application fee separately for each postcode
Instructions
- The applicant must be a citizen of India
- All applicants must fulfill the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as on last date of receipt of online application
- Applicants currently working in CSIR/Government Organizations/Autonomous Bodies/Statutory Bodies/Universities/PSUs etc., as regular employees must inform their department or office and upload a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) from their employer at the time of submitting the online application
- Applications not duly filled or uploaded without required certificates / documents will be summarily rejected
- The screening of candidates will be conducted on the basis of the documents and information provided in the online application only
- If any document/ certificate furnished is in a language other than Hindi or English, a transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Notary is to be submitted
- No TA will be reimbursed for Trade Test/Written Examination
- The decision of the Director, CSIR-IICT/CSIR in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, and conduct of trade test/ written examination will be final and binding on the candidates
- Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence political or otherwise will be treated as disqualification for the post
- Notifications about the date of the Trade Test/Written Examination, the recommendations of the Screening Committees, the criteria used, and any further updates, notices, addendum or corrigendum related to this advertisement will be posted solely on the CSIR-IICT official website
