Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): Not exceeding 69 years as on 10.01.2026.
- Senior Resident: Up to 45 years as on 10.01.2026; up to 50 years for Senior Residents in non-clinical subjects.
- Maximum tenure of engagement for teaching faculty will be till 70 years of age, subject to rules and regulations.

Other Eligibility Conditions
- All candidates must have updated Medical Council registration (NMC/State Medical Council) with all post MBBS/MD/MS qualifications or proof of having applied.
- EWS candidates must submit EWS certificate as per Govt. of India format; OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate must be issued within one year from date of interview in prescribed Central Govt. format.
- Reservation for PH (Divyangjan) candidates will be as per Government of India norms.
Age Limit
- Teaching Faculty (all cadres): Maximum 69 years as on 10.01.2026; engagement permissible till 70 years subject to rules.
- Senior Resident (clinical): Up to 45 years as on 10.01.2026.
- Senior Resident (non-clinical subjects): Up to 50 years as on 10.01.2026.
Selection Process
- Selection will be made on the basis of acquired academic credentials and performance in the interview before the Selection Board.
- Result will be displayed on the website www.esic.gov.in and offer of appointment will be sent through email.
- Selected candidates will have to join as per instructions given in the offer of appointment.
- Opportunity of interview will be provisional, subject to detailed scrutiny of eligibility criteria and verification of documents.

- Send scanned copy of the duly filled Application Form along with supporting documents by email to [email protected] on or before 10.01.2026 up to 05:00 PM.
- Prepare a Demand Draft of applicable Interview Fee (if payable) in favour of “ESI Fund A/c No.-1”, payable at Varanasi.

Instructions
- Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease; the competent authority may amend, cancel or change the advertisement without prior notice.
- Reservation will be as per Government of India guidelines; EWS posts are not carried forward and non-availability of EWS candidates may allow UR candidates to be considered on merit as UR.
- In case of non-availability of reserved category candidates, vacancies may be filled for less than 45 days as de-reserved seats.
- No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining as teaching faculty at ESIC Medical College, Pandeypur, Varanasi.
- Tenure of all posts is for one year or till attainment of 70 years of age (for faculty), whichever is earlier; engagement can be terminated from either side with one month’s notice. Spot resignation requires deposit of one month’s salary to ESIC Account.
- No claim for service benefits like PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, seniority, or promotion shall be admissible as this is a contractual appointment.
- Absence from work beyond 7 days without proper permission will be treated as voluntary abandonment and may lead to automatic termination.
- Wrong declarations or submission of false information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.
- The Dean, ESIC MCH, Pandeypur, Varanasi reserves the right to cancel or postpone the recruitment process at any stage.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview or for submission of documents.
