Gauhati University PG Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

General category candidates should have at least 45% marks in graduation.

SC/ST/OBC candidates must have a minimum of 40% marks in graduation.

Gauhati University PG Admission 2025 Selection Process:
- All candidates must appear in the PGET-2025 to get admitted to any postgraduate programmes at Gauhati University and its affiliated colleges.
- The selection of eligible candidates for PG programme admission will be solely based on PGET-2025 scores. Further, the selection and admission will be considered provisional until the relevant documents/certificates (in their original form) are produced before the respective department where admission is being sought at the time of admission.
- Preference for admission to the relevant programme will be given to candidates who obtain higher marks in the PGET-2025.
- Seat reservations will be made following the guidelines established by the Government of Assam and Gauhati University.
- Merely appearing in the Entrance Test (PGET-2025) does not confer any right to the candidate for admission to a programme. If a candidate does not meet the minimum eligibility criteria during the document verification of the admission process, his/her candidacy will be cancelled.
