Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed a minimum one-year ITI course from a government-recognized institute in any of the following trades: Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, General Mechanic, Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Sheet Metal Worker, Automobile Body Repairer, Welder, Welder cum Fabricator, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter General, or Automobile Paint Repairer.
- For priority consideration (additional weightage): Candidates must have completed Apprenticeship in the same trade as their ITI qualification from a Government / Semi-Government / Public Undertaking or any Limited / Private Limited Company, and must possess the NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) certificate and marksheet.
- Computer knowledge is mandatory: Candidates must hold a basic computer knowledge certificate from a recognized training institute OR have computer as a subject in any diploma/degree course OR have passed Class 10 or 12 with computer as a subject.

Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 45 Years (for Divyang candidates with 10 years relaxation over the general limit of 35 years)
- Age Limit (Birth Date Range): 12/03/1981 to 12/03/2008
- Age Relaxation:
- Divyang (PwD) Candidates: Maximum age relaxation of 10 years (upper age limit not to exceed 45 years under any circumstances)
- All age calculations will be based on the last date of application (12-03-2026)
- For SEBC candidates: Non-creamy layer certificate required for age relaxation benefit
Salary / Stipend
- Salary: Rs.21,100/- Per Month (Fixed Pay for first 5 years on contract basis)
- After successful completion of 5 years of satisfactory service, candidates will be eligible for regular appointment at the prevailing basic pay scale of the Helper category in GSRTC.
- No other allowances or benefits will be applicable during the contract period except those permissible under rules.

Selection Process
- Educational Qualification Weightage (70 marks total):
- ITI Minimum Qualification Weightage: 55 marks (proportional to percentage obtained)
- Apprenticeship (Additional Qualification for Priority): 15 marks (proportional to percentage obtained)
- OMR-based Written Test (Competitive): 100 marks (converted to 30 weightage marks)
- Merit List Preparation (based on total 100 weightage)
- Document Verification
Note: Candidates must score a minimum of 40 marks out of 100 in the OMR Written Test to qualify. The OMR test will be of 2 hours duration. Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for wrong answers.
