How to Attend the HAL NATS Walk-in 2026

There is no online application form to fill for these walk-in drives. The process requires prior NATS portal registration and then physical attendance at the venue on the correct date for your stream.

  1. Visit the NATS portal at www.mhrdnats.gov.in and register as a "STUDENT".
  2. Print a copy of the NATS registration form — this is mandatory to bring to the venue.
  3. Identify your stream and note the correct walk-in date from the schedule above.
  4. Scan and self-attest all required documents listed above and arrange two passport-size colour photographs.
  5. Report to Technical Training Institute, Suranjan Das Road, Bangalore – 560017 between 08:00 and 11:00 Hrs on your designated date.
  6. Submit documents for verification at the venue. Selection is on a merit and first-come, first-served basis subject to vacancy.

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the walk-in. Canvassing in any form will result in immediate disqualification.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Walk-in drives require physical preparation rather than an online application. Arriving without complete documents or outside the reporting window can end your candidature immediately. The points below cover general walk-in best practices.

  • Not registering on the NATS portal before attending: NATS portal registration at www.mhrdnats.gov.in is a pre-condition. Candidates who arrive without a printed copy of their NATS registration will not be processed.
  • Appearing on the wrong date: Each stream has a specific walk-in date. Check your stream's date in the schedule above carefully — arriving on a different day will not be accommodated.
  • Missing the reporting window: The gate closes for reporting at 11:00 Hrs. Arrive early given the first-come, first-served selection basis.
  • Incomplete mark sheets: All semester mark sheets from the required range must be present. A single missing semester document can affect eligibility verification on the spot.
  • Forgetting self-attested photocopies: One complete set of self-attested photocopies of all documents is required in addition to originals. Prepare this set before leaving home.
  • GPA/CGPA without conversion guidelines: If your marks are in GPA/CGPA format, your university's official conversion guidelines document must accompany your mark sheets. Without this, the evaluating panel cannot assess your percentage.
