Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications: Qualification should be recognized by Medical Council of India. He/she should have valid MCI Registration under the Medical Council of India Act. Candidate possessing regular/full time qualifications prescribed above is only eligible to apply. In other words, the qualifications acquired through part time/correspondence/distance education/E-learning course are not eligible to apply.
- Essential qualifications: MBBS, MS(OPHTH) or DNB (OPHTH) + (Fellowship / Specialization in Vitreo-retinal surgery)
- Experience: Candidates need to possess minimum 5 years post qualification experience in the relevant stream.
Salary/Stipend
- Applicants are required to clearly indicate the expected remuneration per visit (considering minimum 02 hrs. visit) in the application form. Remuneration per visits would be fixed by HAL.
- Further as per applicable rules of HAL at the time of engagement selected candidate (visiting consultant) will be eligible for conveyance reimbursement (per visit).
Age Limit (as on 16-01-2026)
- Upper age limit is 65 Years as on the date of Advertisement. No further relaxation is admissible.

Selection Process
- Suitable candidates from amongst the applicants will be shortlisted for Interview. Personal interview will be conducted at HAL Hospital, Ojhar Township. Final selection will be made based on the performance in the Interview.

- Only Indian National need apply.
- The engagement of Visiting Consultants will be purely on temporary basis and will not confer any right to the consultant to claim the status of a regular employee of the Company.
- The Visiting Consultants will not be eligible for any other Allowance or benefits other than those indicated above.
- Age and experience are to be calculated as on the date of advertisement.
- Candidate possessing regular/full time qualifications prescribed above is only eligible to apply. In other words, the qualifications acquired through part time/correspondence/distance education/E-learning course are not eligible to apply.
- Mere submission of application will not entail right for claiming employment.
- Before applying, the candidates should satisfy themselves regarding eligibility criteria desired for the post. The candidates should also ensure that the particulars furnished by him/her in the application are correct in all respects. The details entered in the specific column will be taken as final. In case it is detected at any stage of selection process that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria or he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material facts, his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings are detected even after engagement, his/her services are liable to be terminated.
