- Only female (women) candidates are eligible to apply for both Karyakatri and Sahayika posts.
- The applicant must be a resident of the same Ward/Gram Sabha where the vacancy exists. If no eligible candidate is available in that Gram Sabha, selection will be made from eligible candidates of the concerned Nyay Panchayat.
- Selection follows a defined priority order among women candidates of the same Gram Sabha/Ward:
- Widowed, legally divorced, or abandoned woman from a BPL (Below Poverty Line) family
- If unavailable - any woman from a BPL family (general)
- If unavailable - widowed/divorced/abandoned woman from an above-BPL family
