Candidates pursuing the final year of a relevant NCTE/RCI-recognized teacher education programme are also eligible to appear. A 5% relaxation in minimum educational qualification and qualifying marks is available to SC/ST/OBC/PHH candidates of Himachal Pradesh.
HP TET November 2026 Age Limit
There is no upper age limit to apply for HP TET. Age criteria will be considered separately by the appointing authority at the time of actual teacher recruitment, as per the applicable Recruitment & Promotion (R&P) Rules.

HP TET November 2026 Exam Pattern & Passing Marks
The HP TET question paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions of one mark each, to be attempted in 150 minutes. There is no negative marking.

The question booklet is bilingual (English and Hindi), except for language papers. HP TET qualifying certificates are valid for a lifetime, and there is no limit on the number of attempts.
