HPBOSE D.El.Ed Counselling 2026: Seat-Allotment Procedure
As per the official prospectus, counselling works as follows:
- HPBOSE prepares a merit list based purely on total marks scored in the CET (no interview is conducted).
- Candidates are called for counselling strictly in order of merit, category-wise, as per the reservation roster.
- The date, time and venue for each counselling round is announced only on the official HPBOSE website - no individual letters, faxes or phone calls are sent to candidates.
- At counselling, eligibility is finally verified against original documents.
- Seats are allotted according to the candidate's stated institution preference and the seats available at that candidate's turn. This preference can be exercised only once - once a seat is accepted, it is final, and the candidate cannot request a change of institution.
- A candidate who accepts a seat in one round cannot participate in later rounds for re-allotment.
- Unfilled or vacated seats are carried forward to the next round strictly by merit.
- There is no migration allowed between institutions after admission - neither between DIETs nor between private colleges.
