HPCL Apprentice Educational Qualification and Eligibility
- Engineering Graduation in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation streams, recognized by the Board of Technical Education/UGC/AICTE or equivalent authority.
- Candidates must have completed their engineering graduation on or after 01-09-2023. Those who completed earlier are not eligible.
- UR/OBC-NC candidates require 60% aggregate marks; SC/ST/PwBD candidates require 50% aggregate marks, calculated across all semesters/years.
- Where CGPA/GPA or letter grades are awarded, the percentage must be converted as per the university/institute's norms, supported by a certificate from the university/institute.
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Only candidates registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal and by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) will be considered.
- Candidates with an existing apprenticeship contract with any other organization on the NATS portal are not eligible to apply.

HPCL Apprentice Monthly Stipend
Selected Graduate Apprentice Trainees (Engineering) will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/-, comprising Rs. 20,500 paid directly by HPCL and Rs. 4,500 paid to apprentices by the Government of India under the DBT scheme. HPCL has no obligation to provide housing assistance or any other allowance beyond this fixed stipend.
HPCL Apprentice Selection Process
- Applications are screened based on merit percentage as per eligibility criteria and the number of training slots notified.
- Incomplete or ineligible applications are summarily rejected without intimation.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for document/certificate verification in a ratio of 1:5 against notified training slots, communicated via registered email. No TA/DA is paid for the verification process.
- A merit list is prepared based on candidates who report for verification and are found suitable.
- Selected candidates must accept a tri-partite apprenticeship contract on the NATS website and submit a medical certificate and undergo police verification.

- Register on the Apprentice Application portal at jobs.hpcl.co.in/Recruit_New/recruitlogin.jsp using the "Sign up for New Registration" option.
- Login credentials will be sent to the registered email ID by the HPCL Apprentice Team.
- Sign in using the received email ID and password.
- Select the Engineering Branch from the dropdown as per the branches mentioned in the advertisement.
- Fill in Personal Details and click "Validate your details."
- Click "Save & Next" to proceed to Contact Details, including correspondence and permanent address.
- Select State of Training (only one preference can be selected).
- Validate details and proceed to Qualification Details.
- Upload a recent passport-sized photograph and signature.
- Recheck all details under "Preview" and edit if required.

HPCL Apprentice Important Instructions
- HPCL does not guarantee permanent or temporary employment after successful completion of apprenticeship.
- Apprentices who complete the training successfully will receive relaxation/preference in future recruitment norms in two stages: age relaxation to the extent of the apprenticeship period (not exceeding one year), and an additional 5% grace marks in the Computer Based Test (CBT) for shortlisting in subsequent recruitment.
- Furnishing wrong or false information will lead to disqualification, even after engagement.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Apprentices will be placed for training at their preferred state, but may be assigned any training location within that state as per requirement/availability.
- No hard copy of the application form needs to be submitted to HPCL.
