Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification for RA-I: Ph.D. OR M.Sc. in Agril. Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Biochemistry, Life Science, Bioinformatics having 3 years of research experience after master degree with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index journal.
- For SRF: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through National Eligibility Test CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship/Assistant professorship and GATE, or selection process through national level exam by Central government departments (DST, DBT, etc.), along with two years of research experience in relevant field.
- Eligible Discipline for RA-I: Agril. Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Biochemistry, Life Science, Bioinformatics.
- Eligible Discipline for SRF: Biological Sciences, Botany, Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Agriculture.
Salary/Stipend
- Rate of remuneration for RA-I: Rs. 58,000 + 18% HRA p.m.
- Rate of remuneration for SRF: Rs. 42,000 + 18% HRA p.m.
Age Limit (as on 10/12/2025)
- Maximum Age for RA-I: 40 years for men and 45 years for women.
- Maximum Age for SRF: 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
- Age limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms.

Selection Process
- Walk-in-Interview comprising written-cum-personal interview.
- In case of large number of candidates, a screening test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for interview.
- The institute may conduct skill test if applicable.
How To Apply
- Eligible candidates bring one recent passport size photograph, original educational certificates from matriculation onwards along with Xerox copies, and experience certificates.
- Biodata form to be downloaded from the website and duly filled, deposited during certificate verification.
- Appear for walk-in-interview on prescribed date, time and place at ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack.
- No candidate will be entertained after 10:00 AM for SRF and 3:00 PM for RA-I.
- If currently employed, furnish no-objection certificate from current employer.
- No TA/DA admissible for appearing in the interview.
Instructions
- Positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project (initially up to 31.03.2026, extendable to August 2028).
- Service will terminate automatically after project expiry; no right for absorption in ICAR-CRRI.
- Director reserves right to increase/decrease positions or cancel process.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
