Who Can Apply for ICAR-CCARI Recruitment 2026?

Age relaxation, Research Associate: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women; relaxation as per Government rules.

Age relaxation, Young Professional-I: Relaxation as per government rules.

Other conditions:

• Appointment on full-time basis; no other assignment allowed during the engagement
• Candidates whose near or distant relative is an ICAR-CCARI employee must declare it

Desirable:

• Research Associate: Diploma in IPR and/or experience in IP management, technology transfer and commercialization activities under ITMU
• Research Associate: Proficiency in MS Office, database applications and AI tools for technology management, research and IPR protection
• Young Professional-I: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Microbiology, minimum one year of experience as research project staff
• Young Professional-I: Working knowledge of MS Office, excel, molecular biology techniques and analysis of genomic data

Research Associate (1 post)

Qualification required: Doctoral Degree: Ph.D. in the relevant subject; OR Master's degree in the relevant subject with 4/5 years of Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average; With Master's degree: at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/other engagements (F. No. 2-9/2012-HRD dated 25.04.2014); With Master's degree: one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) / NAAS rated (>=4.0) Journal as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019. Experience required: For Master's degree holders: at least three years of research experience. Age limit: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women. Pay: ₹67,000 per month + HRA (for Ph.D. degree holders); ₹61,000 per month + HRA (for Master's degree holders).

Young Professional-I (1 post)

Qualification required: Graduate in Veterinary Science /B.Sc. Biotechnology/ Microbiology. Age limit: 21 to 45 years. Pay: ₹ 30,000 per month.

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• Purely temporary, under projects
• Research Associate: up to 31-03-2027 or until completion of the project
• Young Professional-I: up to 31-03-2027 or extendable as per project duration subject to satisfactory performance
• Services end automatically with the termination of the Project/Scheme, or earlier at the discretion of the Competent Authority
• Director can terminate with one month's notice or one month's emoluments; candidate leaving must give one month's notice and one month's emoluments are withheld as caution money
• No claim to regular employment at ICAR-CCARI or any other ICAR Institute
