ICAR IARI Young Professional II Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

The Division of Agricultural Economics, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi is filling one Young Professional-II (YP II) post on contract. The post is for the project "Economic survey on stakeholder/s preferences in target crops under ICAR-Network Project on Translational Genomics in Crop Plants (TGCP)". Who Can Apply

Essential Qualification

Post Graduate Degree (M. Sc.) in Agricultural Economics/ Dairy Economics/ Fisheries Economics/ Agricultural Statistics/ Economics (with thesis work). Only candidates who have the essential qualifications will be called for the online interview.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in data collection and data analysis of primary and secondary data
• Handling of software like MS Excel, R and STATA
• Good scientific writing skills

Age Limit and Relaxation

The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 45 years as on the date of interview (25 November 2026).

Pay and Tenure

• Pay: Rs. 42,000/- per month, fixed. No HRA is paid.
• The post is purely temporary and contractual. It is filled at first for up to 31 March 2027 or until the project is completed, whichever is earlier.
• The post ends with the project (co-terminus). The selected candidate cannot claim a regular appointment at the Institute.

Applications are accepted in online mode only, by email to [email protected]. They must be sent by 23 November 2026.

1. Fill in the application form (Annexure-I of the notice) in the given format, typed or by hand.
2. Affix a recent self-attested passport-size photograph to the form, then scan the form.
3. Fill in and sign the declaration (Annexure-II) about relatives working at ICAR/IARI. Every candidate must send it, including those with no such relatives.
4. Scan self-attested copies of the documents listed below.
5. Email the scanned form, the declaration and all the documents to [email protected] by 23 November 2026.

Documents named in the notice

• Application form (Annexure-I) with a recent photograph affixed
• Self-attested copies of all certificates and mark sheets from matriculation onwards
• Date of birth certificate
• NET/equivalent certificate
• Proof of experience or experience certificate (the form asks only for experience of one year or more)
• Proof of SC/ST/OBC status, if applicable
• No Objection Certificate from the current employer, if employed
• Publications (published research papers only, with proof)
• Signed declaration (Annexure-II) about relatives working at ICAR/IARI

The application form also asks for your age on the date of interview, your correspondence and permanent addresses with PIN code, your mobile number and email address, your educational record from Class 10 onwards (with subjects and percentage of marks) and two references with their phone numbers and email addresses. It ends with a signed self-declaration that the details are true.

Selection and Interview

Selection is through an online interview on 25 November 2026 from 10:00 AM. Only eligible candidates who have the essential qualifications will be called. Original documents will be checked at the final selection stage. The selected candidate must produce all original documents and medical certificates at the time of joining.
