Qualification and Experience

• The candidate should be a retired individual from Defense/Paramilitary Forces, having served at least as an Ex-Servicemen Supervisor with a Supervisory rank/Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Army, or holding an equivalent post in the Navy, Air Force, BSF, CISF, CRPF or other paramilitary forces.
• The candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or a Graduation Certificate from the Defense/Paramilitary Forces.
• A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a reputed academic institution or organization is required.
• The degree should have been awarded by a recognized University/Institute, and only experience gained after the minimum qualifying degree is considered.
• Only Indian Nationals may apply.

Desirable

• Strong understanding of modern CCTV surveillance systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a reputable academic institution, with at least 3 years of experience at the level of Security Supervisor.
• Must meet the Shape-I medical standard as per Defense or Central Para Military Force norms.
• Must be proficient in Hindi and English language.

Age Limit

Below 58 years. Qualification, experience and age limit are recognized as on 04.12.2026. The notice prints no age relaxation.

Pay and Allowances

The monthly remuneration is a consolidated Rs.40,000 plus Transportation Allowance Rs.4,000. There is no annual increment or percentage increase during the contract period, and no House Rent Allowance is admissible. Paid leave of 1.5 days for each completed month of service may be allowed; leave cannot be accumulated beyond a calendar year. For absence from duty, a proportionate deduction is made from the remuneration. No additional remuneration is paid for attending on Saturday, Sunday or other holidays in exigencies of work.

IIIT Kota Security Supervisor Job Description

• Oversee all security arrangements for the IIIT Kota Campus and supervise the deployment of watch and ward staff.
• Handle security arrangements during their shift at the IIIT Kota Campus and supervise the deployment of watch and ward staff.
• Coordinate with administrative authorities to ensure proper arrangements for events on campus, and liaise with local police stations to address security requirements as needed.
• Undertake any other related tasks as assigned by the authorities from time to time.

Selection Process

A provisional list of shortlisted/eligible candidates for interview will be displayed on the Institute website. Depending on the number of applicants and/or requirement, the Institute may conduct a selection test apart from the interview. The Institute may also restrict the number of candidates called for the interview or selection test to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualification and experience higher than those prescribed in the advertisement. Mere eligibility does not give any right to be called. Originals must be produced at the time of interview only, and the selected candidate is required to join immediately.

Contract Terms

• The post is purely on contract basis. The advertisement says the term is initially one year, which may be extended up to a maximum of two (2) more years depending on performance, and may be terminated at any moment without assigning any reasons.
• Contractual appointments are purely temporary and unrelated to any permanent position in IIIT Kota; there is no claim to any post under the Institute.
• The appointee is not entitled to Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity or other benefits available to government servants.
• The appointee must sign the Non-Disclosure Undertaking (Form A) and submit a declaration regarding marital status.
• The employee may seek termination before expiry by giving 30 days prior notice to the Institute.
