Eligibility Criteria

• Qualifications: Ph.D. (preferably in the areas of vulnerability, adaptation and/or climate change impacts in the water sector) with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (preferably in disciplines like Environment and Natural Resource Management, Geography, Policy Studies, Development Studies or Economics)
• Essential qualifications: The position requires the candidate to be highly familiar with the literature on climate adaptation, vulnerability and be able to engage in scholarly research and writing under the supervision of the Project investigation(s). The candidate must have proven experience with high-quality research/scholarly writing and the ability to do basic statistical analysis. (Applicants are required to clearly indicate/attach proof of qualifications, relevant experience AND research/scholarly writing in the application)

Salary/Stipend

• Rs.75,600 - 77,870 - 80,210 - 82,620 - 85,100 - 87,650 - 90,280 - 92,900 - 95,780 - 98,650 - 1,01,610/- with 27% HRA

Selection Process

• IIT Delhi reserves the right to fix higher criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates from those satisfying advertised qualification and requirement of the project post and their name will be displayed on web link (http://ird.iitd.ac.in/shortlisted) alongwith the online interview details. Only short-listed candidates will be informed for online interview.
• The posts may be downgraded as per discretion of the Selection Committee if none of the candidate is found suitable for the post

• 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST Candidates. In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
