Eligibility Criteria
- For Engineering/Technology Branches (IT & Metallurgical Engineering): B.E/B.Tech/B.S. and M.E/M.Tech/M.S. or Integrated M.Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees. Ph.D after Bachelor's from institutions of national importance with GATE is also eligible.
- For Science & Humanities (Chemistry & Physics): Master's Degree with 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) + NET/JET or Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016.
- 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD candidates.
- Additional 5% relaxation for Ph.D holders who obtained Master's before 19 September 1991.
Salary / Stipend
- Pay Scale: Level-10
- Entry Pay: ₹57,700/- per month
- Probation Period: 2 years
- Retirement Age: 65 years
Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)
- No minimum age prescribed.
- Maximum age: Candidate must be below 65 years.
- Retirement age for the post is 65 years.
- Candidates attaining 65 years during selection process will not be considered.

- Interview: 20 marks
- Total: 100 marks
- Merit list prepared on the basis of combined score.
- 5 times candidates called for document verification; 3 times for interview.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 34% for EBC, 32% for SC/ST.
General Information / Instructions
- Reservation benefit is applicable only to permanent residents of Jharkhand.
- Candidates must submit proper Local Resident and Caste certificates in prescribed format.
- PwD candidates with minimum 40% disability are eligible for reservation and fee exemption.
- Hard copy of online application along with all self-attested documents must reach the Commission by 23 March 2026.
- Applications received after the last date or through any other mode will be rejected.
