Seat Acceptance Options: Freeze, Float, Slide and Refuse
After the result is declared, candidates must choose one of the following options on the portal before the deadline:
- Freeze: Choose this if you are satisfied with the allotted college and course. Pay the seat acceptance fee, download the allotment letter, and report to the college to confirm admission. Candidates allotted their Preference 1 choice are auto-frozen and cannot participate in later rounds.
- Float: Accept the current seat while remaining eligible for an upgraded preference in CAP Round 2. Candidates who select Float and pay the fee do not need to submit original documents immediately during Round 1 reporting.
- Slide: Retain the current seat while seeking a higher-preference course within the same institute in later rounds.
- Refuse: Opt out of the Round 1 allotment entirely without paying the acceptance fee. This frees the candidate to participate in CAP Round 2 without locking any seat.

Important Advisories for Candidates
- Rely only on the official portals agri2026.mahacet.org or cetcell.mahacet.org for allotment letters and fee payment. Do not share login passwords or payment details on third-party sites or social media groups.
- Pay admission fees only through official online channels or directly at college accounts desks against an official receipt. The State CET Cell and MCAER have warned candidates against fraudulent admission agents.
- Private unaided agriculture colleges display fee structures as approved by the Fees Regulatory Authority (FRA), Mumbai; candidates should review these before reporting.
- Candidates facing discrepancies in their allotment letter (category, Home University status, weightage points) can raise a grievance through the e-scrutiny/grievance tab on agri2026.mahacet.org.
- Missing the seat status selection deadline or the reporting window results in forfeiture of the allotted seat, which is then released into the Round 2 vacancy matrix.
